Blood In Urine

I have Polycystic Kidney Disease and have been on dialysis for 5 years. I recently have had 2 bouts of Blood In the urine, The first time lasted one week. I was checked out by a Urologist, and everything looked ok. After about 2 months, I am having another bout. This one has lasted about 2 weeks. Not sure what to do. Has anyone else gone through this?

I have PKD and would often have light blood in my urine or have blood show up in my urinalysis. Maybe once or twice a year. It is just a cyst leaking. It was hard to convince the radiation safety doctors that it was no big deal. If it gets serious or sustained, then the docs need to get involved. You also want to not have other UTI symptoms, like pain and cloudy urine. Good luck.

Bursting of the cysts in the kidneys or of the small blood vessels around the cysts

Urinary tract infections

Kidney stones

Other problems that affect the urinary tract that may have nothing to do with your ADPKD.

My doctor doesn’t seem concern he said my is cause of pkd now that with blood I can very see once I had it where I could really see it it was a uti
