Morning ladies, I had a total hysterectomy two years ago for endo, adenomyosis and pid. Although I feel much better and have a more normal life, my recovery was plagued with complications and I have just been told that the endo has returned in the form of endometriomas on each ovary The cruel irony of having dysfunctional ovaries when I had a womb and now super functioning ovaries now it’s gone, which is only fueling the growth. My specialist believes at the moment it is better to wait and see what happens. At only 36, he believes I am too young to remove the ovaries (I agree) and I wouldn’t be able to have hrt so would be at risk of problems later in life. He also doesnt want to go in and remove the endometriomas yet as I have had multiple surgeries and he is worrying about causing damage to the ovaries, which could result in triggering the menopause. Has anyone been left with endometriomas and is it manageable? Around ovulation it is tough going and although I am functioning, I am various levels of exhausted!

Endometriomas post hysterectomy
If you want to have babies off course removing ovaries is not the right decision
But if you don’t want babies i would suggest removing them because endometriomas will not leave you they will reappear always
they are very annoying
They could bleed and make more adhesions and this could affect your bowel
They will make everything stuck together
I am 20 years old and i have this kind of cyst for very long time
i know the cyst destroyed all my eggs because i have it for long time since i was 11 I removed the cyst and it returned and i took decapyptel for them and the cyst returned
And I treated for second time with lupron and now it returned
I got bowel adhesions from it
As the cyst destroyed my eggs even ivf would not work but there is hope
Btw i still have the cyst
