Ferritin Levels - Recommendations?
I recently had an Iron Profile done and my ferritin result came back as 17ug/l . The doctor said this was normal, but I read on here that Ferritin is one of the big issues for RLS. I'm frustrated as they know about my issues with RLS and I've had to fight for years to get them to take it seriously.

Hello from Clair in the Hill Country of Texas
Hello everyone, I am new to the group but have gotten so much valuable information and I thank you. I had a mastectomy in June of 2017 and felt like I was almost to 5 years. A new oncologist started in my practice and we had a great initial meeting where she asked lots of questions. She asked if I had

What to expect?
So I have a C-P (??) Meningioma that showed up when I had an emergency MRI about 6 weeks ago after I suddenly lost feeling in one half of my face which started at the end of January this year, it's pressing on my trigeminal nerve and working its way over my right hearing nerve, pushing my brain out of

Hysterectomy & ovary removal - what do you wish you'd known first?

I still need an MRI scan to

Endo after hysterectomy
I had a total hysterectomy and removal of ovaries and tubes 4 years ago. I’m in constant severe pain. I have 8 laxido a day, still backed up. My hips are stiff. I have back/groin/leg pain. Vomiting. Bowel obstruction symptoms and so tired! Anyone familiar with this? Is it endo? How to get help when no

Testicular Pain Since Vasectomy
I love in the USA - I had a vasectomy a couple years ago. I was in immense paint throughout the whole procedure. I could feel them burn me (make incision) and it was awful. I have had to take antibiotics 2 times for swollen tube... can’t recall what they called it. I am sitting on a couch now - laid

Has anyone suffered with pain after hysterectomy and ovaries removed?
Hi warriors, Any advice or experiences would be much appreciated. I had a total hysterectomy in July 2018, left ovaries in due to age. After 3 months the pain was back, so in November 2019 had returned endo removed plus both ovaries. Given Tibolone for menopause and only suffered with hot flushes. Unfortunately

MRI scan - how much did it influence your surgery decision?
Hi, I'm in line for an MRI scan for endo. I have stage IV endo, which was diagnosed by laparoscopy. In my first appointment, the consultant (BSGE approved endo centre) talked about surgery options ranging from clearance with total hysterectomy and endo removal to simple restoration of pelvic anatomy

Having had a vasectomy figure in, if at all, in fighting PC?
My latest MO mentioned in passing that having had a vasectomy was a favorable thing. Had mine about 50 years ago. Could that explain why PC didn't hit me until last year when I was 82?

Surgical Menopause - Estradiol gel dose???
Hi all, Anyone who takes estradiol gel for menopause, please may I ask how many pumps you apply each day? I had a total hysterectomy a year ago (everything removed including tubes ovaries cervix) which of course meant I started surgical menopause straight away. After 6 weeks I was prescribed Estradiol

Comments on my TSH, Free T4 and Free T3 please
Appreciate your comments on my TSH, Free T4 and Free T3 please, especially in relation to a low energy level. TSH: 1.99 uIU/mL (0.55 - 4.78) Free T4: 1.2 ng/dL (0.67 - 1.52) Free T3: 2.9 pg/mL (2.3 - 4.2) I would like to have a lot more energy. My Primary Care MD is cautious on levothyroxine dosing

Carrying on with Art with PD?
This is my husbands latest project. All his own drawings which he loves doing, now adding colour. Making a slide show took some doing. It’s like meditation for him and is very absorbing. He’s managed to do this all whilst looking after me as well, I’ve just had a second total knee replacement! He

Post surgical nerve pain issues?
I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with nerve pain following mastectomy surgery? I had a bilateral mastectomy 4 month ago had really bad nerve pain after the surgical drugs wore off. After 6 weeks I had a nerve block done. It really helped for quite a while but now I am having issues - tightness

After effects of Prostap, the menopause or codeine withdrawal? 🤦🏼‍♀️
Hi everyone, I’m struggling to work out what’s going on with my symptoms as they seem to be possible for all of the above! I had a total hysterectomy (kept my ovaries) on 13th March, my last Prostap injection two weeks before that and I’m working my way off 240mg of codeine. I get the worst hot sweats
