PMR again ?
I stopped pred on 8th October after 4 years and was OK until now. I have developed stiffness and aching in hips down to knees and am wondering whether the PMR has come again due to stress. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 11th October and am currently on Letrozole to (hopefully !) shrink the tumour

Total Knee Replacement
Hi Hope everyone is well. I need a bit of advice.- I've been given a date for my knee replacement..it's in August and will be done in north London at a good NHS hospital. They have a centre for elective surgery and to be honest it's probably the best hospital option available to me. But for anyone

Total knee replacement - 6 weeks on
Hi Today is my 6 week anniversary of having my TKR on my right knee. I'm keen to start driving again and wondered if I need to get the go ahead from the physio first or what is the protocol? My understanding was that if you can do an emergency stop you can drive. I have an automatic car so I'll be

My Story
I've had RLS since childhood and didn't know that I had the malady. Of recent years, it has gotten worse and I was placed on 1mg Pramipexole which worked almost adequately. After some months/years, I returned to see my Primary Care Doctor and they said it was alright if I took 1/2 tablet more of

Ouch that hurt 🤕
Involved in RTC on Friday, luckily just Bruised Ribs and abdomen.I have spondylitis, damaged discs lumber to sacral, and am awaiting a new hip, which is playing havoc with my TKR, so the added pain really wasn't needed. Hopefully this app will help me get motivated.

income options while waiting for treatment
My employer finally terminated my contract last month because of the nature of my job and the deteriorating condition of my knee. I have tricompartmental osteoarthritis in my knee which has now got to the point where every step I take is sore, my job was contracting to a large company working on kitchen

Negative SVT Ablation experience
Good Morning All, So I had my SVT Ablation on Thursday at St Thomas’. Not a great experience. Procedure took 3 and half hours. I was awake the whole time and conscious of everything! Four puncture wounds on groin. Two either side. I could feel the catheters going up into my veins and tweaking around

Help with "sick day rules"
Hello, It's been a while. I am struggling and need some dose guidance please. My normal dose is 10mg per day. I delivered Mark to hospital on Sunday for a planned Total Knee Replacement which took place on Monday morning. He's doing very well, no pain (typical of him lol) and he was discharged yesterday

Consider the options?
Post total hysterectomy, etc., one cycle of carboplatin (couldn't tolerate paclitaxel) and now on Avastin i/v and Olaparib. CA 9, which is fantastic. Side effects are just destroying me. I am 80, the Olaparib goes through to mid June 2026 and the Avastin finishes at the end of this year. Oncologist

Normal CA-125
I am going in for a total hysterectomy on the 25th They suspect a Granulosa Cell Tumour due the presence of a mass on my ovary and thickened womb lining However my CA-125 is in the ‘normal’ range, I am just curious if others received a DX with normal CA-125? I am ready for whatever comes but just

2 weeks post hysterectomy
I was scheduled to have a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy and some endometriomas and any other endometriosis removed. This was supposed to take no more than two hours and be a day case when the surgeon opened me up he found that the endometriosis was way more widespread than initially thought I had

Looking for TKR advice
Hello everyone. I’m a 55 year old male who has had knee problems for the majority of my life. I think it originated from sports injuries as a schoolboy but I remember twisting it while at work when I was about 17 too. I have a long history of having treatment for knee problems including 2 or 3 arthroscopy
