Supplements for Osteopenia/Osteoporosis
I was wondering what others take when they are diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis. I don't want to take the Fosamax or anything similar. I have issues with my stomach. Are there any natural supplements that have been shown to help?

Thoughts on Fosamax
Does anyone have information on Fosamax? I just had a bone density done and now Dr wants to add another drug. I’m on 20 mil of prednisone and I know it’s making my bones worse. Looking for an alternative. Having a hard day today.

Home from Neuro!
He now prescribed
Topamax
for the headaches. Hopefully that helps. He said if I'm not getting relief from it in a week to call my primary doctor because it may be sinus infection related as I had one last month (he didn't even check me out to see if it could be that).

Osteopoenia/osteoporosis
Just received my bones density scan results which shows osteopoenia. GP wants to follow up to discuss treatment options and try to coordinate with my rheumy. Does anyone have suggestions? I read that certain drugs like Fosamax interact negatively with Prednisone. Also does anyone wear weights? If so

What has helped your pain the most after VM?
I know many of you have been left with terrible headaches but have not seen anyone mention
topamax
or zonegran. These are actually anti-convulsants that somehow work to reduce migraines although they dont seem to know exactly how. Some believe they slow overactive nerve cells in the brain.

New here & Reporting on the Cefaly Dual Device for Migraine Treatment & Prevention
I went on 100 mg
Topamax
/daily. It has worked well, and I average 3-5 migraines/mo. and the side effects are annoying. (Stomach issues, tingling in toes, edginess) Unfortunately, I live in the OH river Valley and have always lived close to this region, which is notoriously bad for migraines.

Topamax
Anyone find any success with 50mg of
Topamax
a day? Had relief of chronic daily headache/migraine at 75mg but side effects were intolerable. Dropping to 50mg daily to see if it still works without the awful side effects.

What are your thoughts
She has put me on
Topamax
and I’m now down to .25 ropinerole once nightly ( from 2) and hoping to eliminate that by the end of the week ( we’ll see) question is, what are your thoughts on topomax? Am I jumping from the frying pan to the fire?

Topamax/Topiramate
I've just started taking
Topamax
for chronic daily headache, i'm almost a week in on 1 25mg tablet per day and so far i'm floored, tired and groggy all of the time. I was woozy and dizzy for the first couple of days but that has worn off thankfully.

Pressure and burning at back of head
I have had headaches and migraines for 30+ years and am just starting
Topamax
. However, I am just wondering if anyone else has an intense burning sensation at the back of the head especially with exertion?. Also, a feeling of pressure at the back of the head.

Methotrexate anyone?
Hi All- I have been reading through different threads and appreciate everyone's input. Navigation of the blog has been getting easier for me, thankfully, however I am currently looking for a thread which discusses Methotrexate. I thought I recalled reading about that topic early on in here, but if not

Are you taking Anti Depressants?
ALL have eventually failed me: Pamelor, Zoloft, Buspar, Prozac, Wellbutrin,
Topamax
, Paxil, Lexapro, and Cymbalta. I have not taken anything for the past 4 years and I will NOT, SO help me GOD! PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES are a multi billion dollar business.

Cervicogenic Headaches/Migraine
I have had amitriptyline, propananol and
topamax
none of which eased the headaches but just gave me awful side effects. I was prescribed sumitriptan for pain relief and it's the only thing that relieves the headaches but I am becoming more and more reliant on them.
