Faisal, this is a medical matter and none of us here have the expertise to advise you on treatment for seizures.

Please see your GP and, if necessary, ask for a referral for further neurological investigation.

Good luck with getting this sorted. Cat.

There are many other meds for seizures and 25 mg may be too low. Ask your dr. Also of course there is research about cannabis oil helping.

If you have a look on the Epilepsy Society site:epilepsysociety.org.uk/topi....

Topamax, trade name for Topiramate is often prescribed in higher dosage than you're currently on, so have a talk with your GP.

I'm on Mirtazapine 250mg per day and I'm fine, however during a period when I was under extreme stress I was having night time seizures, I only knew this because I was biting my tongue whilst asleep. My GP ddin't up my dosage as once the stress had reduced my night time seizures stopped.

So u mean to say u stop havin siezures with the medicine u r taking ? Can u tell me how long u r facing this and how it happend plz thanks

I started with seizures 2 years after my TBI, apparently this is very common due to the scaring on the brain

Seizure free now, I've been epileptic since 2004, started on 200mg Mirtazapine, then stabalised on 250mg after about 3 months.

I was on 250mg during the period of my night seizures these lasted for around 3 months but that's me you definitely need to discus your dosage with your GP.

I discuss with many GP the problem here they r not good they dont give you right treatment my last neuro he gave me 8 different tablets when i start taking them i cant even talk properly cant walk straight just sleeping only now this neuro gave me this topamax 25mg so with this m bit fine but time to time m havin sleeping siezures. So i dont know what to do now

I'm very fortunate being well controlled and I don't get the common tiredness side effect of the Mirtazapine.

However I know people who's seizures can't be controlled at all, one colleague I work with can have up to 15 grand mal seizures per week

Ill check another neuro and ill ask him about the medicine u told me lets see hope for the best thanks

youre always going to have seizures, so the sooner you come to terms with it the better.

im on topiramate but my neurologist is eventually going to take off them and put me on something else.

Faisal514 in reply tosteve55

Let me know what is that and how is it plz thanks

I know as I’ve got personal EXPERIENCE in having BI &seizures that just started about a YEAR AFTER my BI I used to take sleeping seizures but now I’m on 500 mg levetiteracetam or lepta morning & night for LIFE, I’ve been sezuire free for 3years now, I hope that I’ve spelt that right lol. I go to see a neurologist nurse whom prescribed me medication &everything seems to be working.

Get in touch with your gp &see if there’s a SPECIALIST that you can go &see maybes get the dose upped. Take cars &speak later.
