Planning a day/night out tomorrow
Evening all. Hope you are all feeling well. I’ve got my latest COPD review tomorrow morning. Currently using saline through my nebuliser as I’m feeling tight chested. My pulse is down at 81 and my BP is 138/88. We check my obs and write them in a little book most days, and it’s made me realise that

Experiences of hearing loss due to aminoglycoside ototoxicity?
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can offer me their experience of aminoglycoside related hearing loss? I’m most specifically interested in loss attributed to tobramycin use if there’s anyone here. Small person (now aged 11) has had over 40 courses of IVs using tobi since birth. She had a hearing aid

Scleroderma, Cushing's, Ankylosing Spondilytis
Hello all Has anyone here been diagnosed with all three conditions? I've been on low and high-dose steroids for decades to manage asthma and eczema. Over the years, I've had loads of 'issues' that I've (and various GPs) put down to menopause, ageing and steroids: hep c > not hep c, yet antibodies present

Swollen Ankles
Hi all since my latest episode of bad chest, I’ve noticed that if I spend any time on my feet that my ankles swell up. Is this connected to my bad chest or is it something different ? I have now finished steroids after 8 weeks of taking them, I am still using the nebuliser twice a day and I’m still on

Seen chest specialist
Seen specialist privately last week, he was so nice and listened to all we said, I gave him a written copy of all my chest problems from the age of 2 from when my Asthma started. But my real problems started in 2012 when I had life threatening blood clots on the lungs which caused scarring on the left

Hello, I’m 17 years old and recently I’ve been struggling with my asthma. Within the space of 3 weeks I have had 2 asthma attacks, one resulting in a ambulance and the other a trip to a&e.
