CABG and sudden pain
Hi All I'm 3 weeks post op and so far everything seems to be going well. However, today when I woke up I started to get some odd pain on the outer edge of my left armpit. Its highly transient, lasts barely a second each time but makes me wince a bit. Heart rate, BP, oxygenation levels all ok, no dizziness

Private blood test results
Hiya! Since my last post, my GP diagnosed me with an underactive thyroid. She started me on 25mg and recently increased to 50mg. I've just had a medichecks test done (mainly out of curiosity as they won't test my T3). Are you able to help me understand the results? Thanks in advance. TSH - 4.5 (0.27

Post CABG Exercise
Hello all. I'm now 19 days post triple bypass, and, touch wood, all is going well. Since walking is the only exercise I can sensibly do at this stage, I'm out most days (fortunately the weather is good at the moment so its a real pleasure to be out and about). My question is 'how much exercise should

CABG and Temperature Control
Hi all. I had my triple bypass 10 days ago. Recovery is going well but I do have occasional instances of feeling very cold (which I put down to the beta blockers) and more frequently, instances of being very hot to the point where I go into melt down (sweating through my hair). I'm not stressed by

9 days since CABG
It is now nine days since my CABG at St Thomas’s. I’m 69 and now do manage to sleep through the nights waking up 2 or 3 times and have an afternoon nap that helps. I still feel like I’ve been in a car crash but feeling a little better most days with the odd bad day. Yesterday I had a call from the

Newbie to the community. Had a aortic root, hemiarch and coronary artery bypass grafting, with mechanical aortic valve replacement.
Had my operation in Liverpool in March 17 after an aortic aneurysm was detected. Operation went very well heart wise, however I did have a minor stroke and slight epilepsy during and after the operation. Big operation and I was aware of the risks. To me the mechanical valve is quite noisy and wondered

Sore ankles post cabg x3
Hi everyone. I'm 7 weeks since op. On minimal meds, Atorvastatin and daily aspirin only. Not sure why but for weeks both ankles have been very sore, aching, in Achilles tendon area. This is now inhibiting my walking progress. I and doctor cannot fathom this. Anyone had this or can guess what's happening

Hashitoxicosis?
Hi I am new and I am confused by results and symptoms. I had an ultrasound which showed I have a bulky thyroid gland in 2012. I had a second ultrasound in 2015 which showed the thyroid was hypoechoic. Since this time I have a goitre that has been growing down into my chest and I was diagnosed hypothyroid

Angiogram
I had my much feared angiogram four days ago and it was fine. The previous nuclear stress test indicated blockage but my CABG grafts were clear Discharge instructions say to make a follow up appointment with my cardiologist but I keep getting put off by his office. They gave me a message and told me
