Fatigued with anxiety
Hi, I have hypothyroidism which was diagnosed three years ago and am currently on Levothyroxine 100mg daily. My memory has improved to a more normal level but I wake up every morning barely able to open my eyes and in work I am able to function, but I lack sharpness and feel detached, almost like I am

Perplexing results. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts?
I was wondering if any one had any thoughts on my results I’m 14 years post RAI and have been on levothyroxine for 8 years and I seem to be very sensitive to dose change. I don’t have thyroid antibodies just a toxic adenoma. They run my T4 higher around 19- 22 for conversion for T3, my consultant

2nd endo appt PTU anxiety
hi, I was put on ptu about 6 weeks ago after my first hospital endo apt. 50mg twice a day. I’ve just been for thyroid bloods T4 (whenever I ask for my thyroid blood forms from my gp receptionist I get given different aspects it’s never the full range). So originally it was 34 (normal being 12-22) then

My doctors won’t investigate
Typically I suffer with chronic symptoms of low B12 but all my results seem to be ignored by GP. My ferritin is 35 ug/L (indeterminate), vitamin b12 is 157ng/L (low) and in my FBC my MCV is 95.5 (just below higher cut off) and MCH is 32.1 (slightly high - comment on blood test is ‘no action despite having

Thyroid antibodies
Hello everyone, Just asking for some advice or thoughts as I have the thyroid antibodies but ‘normal thyroid’. The thyroid antibodies were found when my first private endo ran tests for my hypoPARA. I have been confused about what they are going to do about it as all they have said it ‘your thyroid

Hiya, Got my blood results from MMH (below). Test done approx 8am, 24 hours after last levo dose, fasting, no biotin. Six weeks ago the GP increased my dose to 100mcg, but I have been taking 87.5mcg (took 100mcg on a couple of odd days just to see how it felt) because I wanted to go slowly with

I had a medical crisis, I didn't die, I wonder why
Last summer I had a medical emergency. The odds were it would kill me but I survived with few life threatening consequences. The problems I had are commonly fatal for 80 year old men. There is a message in my experience which I hope to share with you in this article. It is a bit longer than most

Ferritin
Long time Hashimoto's here. Why do we need to check ferritin, and how is it different than checking iron? Thank you.

Twins, HCG did anyone get a faint line initially on first pregnancy test?
Just curious, we transferred 2 embryos ivf and I really want twins. Tested today but received a faint line - positive though.. I’ve been reading on here the lines are darker with twins. How true is this? I’ve only started to feel symptoms today since returning from Testing so I’m guessing hormones kicking

Hi there,I am posting on behalf of my mum (I have hashis and in my own personal nightmare!). She has diagnosed hypothyroidism, not autoimmune. She is 72, has been on levo for around 20 years, current dose 75mg, she doesn't specify a brand so I suspect it's whatever the pharmacist gives her. Serum ferritin

creatinine/Albumin
Recently I had an UTI and while I was at the doctor we did a Urine sample. My creatinine/albumin ratio was 62 - normal is 0-29. Could this be due to the UTI? I am anxious now. I am prediabetic, have white coat syndrome, and lipid issues though my "ratio" is good. Do I need to cut way down on my

T4/T3 converter
How I know if I’m a good converter. I have low cortisol all day long and below is my lab test. Please advise. Taking T4 70 mcg/T3 18 mcg. I struggle to add T3 even in small doses.

Do I need increase in thyroxine dose?
I have struggled with hypothyroid symptoms all my life (always cold, always hungry, always tired, weight gain etc.) but was always told by my GP that all I needed to do was diet and exercise. Nobody listened to me when I told them that I was already doing that - I suppose it's easier to assume overeating
