low t3 & corrected calcium
I am in Jersey CI, & was bedridden for years. Then a friend gave me some old T3's which improved things a lot. But still no diagnosis from GP. I eked out the increasingly weak 5 year old T3, then bought some metavive 111. Things improved a lot more, though T3 serum even lower, & TSH now in range, but

How I Completely Eliminated The PD Related Pain
I was diagnosed in March last year but had some symptoms for years. Before starting Thiamine, I had pins and needles and bad pain on the left side of my body (affected side) 24/7. The pain subsided greatly after starting high dose Thiamine but still had some. Few more things have helped me to eliminate

D3/cholecalciferol and fish oil and possibly adverse effects
I have just recently learned that some brands of fish oil capsules contain significant levels of D3 . I was taking as many as four or five capsules daily and each contained 2000 units of D3 . And I was experiencing increased leg weakness which I now suppose my calciferol levels were possibly higher

What Tests to ask for?
When i last saw my doctor he refered me to an Endocrinologist after i told him i was going to source T3 privately. Unfortunately because hè has not specificallly referred me to a named Endo (one that hè knows is T3 friendly at my local Hospital), i now have an appointment with “any doctor OR Endo available

Great Doctor, diagnoses possibly!?
Hi everyone!! What started out as a terrible day from pain with mouth ulcers and genital ulcers ended up fantastic. I was able to get the afternoon off of work, and head to the doctor, I was waiting for test results to see if I had any stds or anything. Nothing showed up besides some high inflammatory

How often should I self-inject?
I've been self injecting hydroxocobalamin since April 2018. I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency in October 2017, had my six/seven loading doses and then given injections in three monthly cycles. I found that within a week to ten days all of my symptoms were returning so I went down the route of self

One week in and 2nd doctor appt.
Saw doctor one week after starting Pred and he’s more certain it’s pmr because the groin pain disappeared so quickly and he’s now added in alendronic acid and cholecalciferol. He’s ordered 2nd blood test for 23rd and then next appt on 30th. Both of the new drugs seem to do the same so are they both

VITIMIN D3
I have an underactive thyroid and have been experiencing tired sore muscles along with numbness/tingling in my feet. I've heard from various people with thyroid issues this can be due to deficiency in vitamin d. I currently have a reading of 46. I took 1000 of vitamin d3 for a while but this did nothing

Please find attached latest bloods. Hope you can read them. I was tested for coeliac two years ago and it was negative. I take folic acid 5mg, levo 100mg, Adcal-D3 (twice daily) and now atorvastatin 20mg. I take the folic acid, D3 and statin at bedtime. I take my levo to bed and usually take sometime

SLE annual cardiovascular risk assessment & Vitamin D3 😎
The BSR Guideline recommends an annual CVD assessment (https://academic.oup.com/rheumatology/article/57/1/e1/4318863#105890718) so three years after diagnosis, when the Rheumy asked him to do it, I left my GP with Table 6 of the Guideline a couple of weeks ago. He's read it 🙌 and invited me to come

Red itchy mark with lump underneath
Hi... I've had a round itchy mark on my chest now for 6 weeks. I've tried fungal and steroid cream but nothing seems to clear it up. If you feel underneath it there is a noticeable lumpy texture not fixed like a stone but it's lumpy in texture. The steroid cream stopped the itching but no improvement

My Osteoporosis Journey
I've just realized it may not be so easy for people on the Bone Health forum to find this account which I posted on the PMRGCAuk forum a few months ago. So here it is. This is just copy and paste of an account I wrote to keep track of things for myself. Please note I have no medical training and I
