Hi all. I’m in need of some help because I have low vitamin D again. So it’s making my anxiety sky rocket because I’m scared I’m going to die. 5-6 months ago I was told I had low vitamin d. So my doctor put me on 50,000 IU once a week for 12 weeks. It was doing so well then I forgot to take my last 4 and it slowly went down hill. I don’t want to take them and then fall down hill again so I’m trying to figure out how I can raise it quickly and feel better again so I’m not crying from the muscle pain. I got a vitamin D3 gummy bottle that is 2,000 IU in two gummies. I’m gonna start taking them and I also have Orange juice with vitamin D in it. What foods can I do to help raise it? (No seafood please) I live in Maryland and it’s cold now so I don’t think the sun will be much help anymore. Or should I just call my doctor and tell her I forgot to take the last 4 weeks and see if she’ll refill them again for me so I can start over on the 50,000 IU again? ☹️

I was just diagnosed with low VitD. Exposure to sunlight helps with it.
🌸 oh my dear. if the meds helped dnt waste time trying other things that my not work and then your vit D levels will just slowly get worse. stick with what works you don't want to feel like dying. look after yourself sweetie 🌸
Hi. Get them refilled. I have had patients taking otc vit D and test at a level at or near 0. Poor quality vit d won't absorb. Only animal foods contain vit D, so try increasing your animal food intake. Egg yellows are a good source. Also, remember vit D is fat soluble. You'll get much more out of your supplement if you eat some fat when you take them. We get most of out vit D from sunlight between 12-2 pm. You could try sun lamps designed to provide the specific UV light that increases vit D production. Good luck!
Idk? I take vit D2 weekly as,D3 isn't covered by my insurance. Sun is a great source of Vit D, milk and you can buy Vit D3 over the counter. Remeber, this is a fat soluble vitamin so make sure you have fat in your diet. Thats where I suffer. I can't eat fat. Good luck, just take your weekly and go outside as sun, even 10 minutes can help.
