What would you do?
So to summarise I can’t have a Levo increase, I need a depression med review, I need to lose weight, my
testosterone
is low and I’m now being referred to a sleep clinic. Can I take my self sourced T3 yet, or will it mess me up?

Most
testosterone
is bound to sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) protein and isn't active. ... Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is made from
testosterone
by an enzyme. DHT is five times more potent than
testosterone
. DHT is primarily used by the body in the prostate, skin, and hair follicles.

I'm wondering if
testosterone
might be a better option. Obviously I would need to speak to my doctor about it but any advice/experience would be most welcome Thank you

Stinging skin, no rash. Ideas?
PSA 9.2 at diagnosis, < 0.1 “undetectable” since June completion of radiation, total
testosterone
10. Alk Phos 70s all along . Addition of Zytiga advised after radiation but judged contraindicated because I was liver toxic from 3 months of initial bicalutamide, took 5 months to normalize LFTs.

Oligometastatic PC and Radiation
His current PSA is .19 and his
testosterone
is ‘< 10’, so the ADT has been effective. We have been advised by the medical oncologist that the next step is either Docetaxel chemotherapy or Zytiga. Meanwhile, my husband went to a PC conference out of town recently.

Best new drugs for castrate-resistant PC?
But in past six weeks, PSA shot from 1.7 to 2.8 with no
testosterone
; I assume it's now castrate-resistant (no mets). Unfortunately, PC went outside capsule, so curative treatments like HIFU, cryotherapy, etc. won't work.

Post ADT Testosterone replacement therapy
I am interested if anyone has undergone
testosterone
replacement after ADT. Some new studies have suggested low T after ADT can actually accelerate cancer progression..

Hypo and low testosterone in females.... is it a thing?
Ive looked up the symptoms of low
testosterone
and I tick every box! I’m wondering how much of my muscle problems are a requirement of more T3 or if actually there is something else at play. I know my progesterone is on the low side since my “crash” but can thyroid issues affect
testosterone
too?

Endometriosis and perimenopause
I've heard of a place in London that offers bespoke hormonal treatments and sometimes use
testosterone
. Has anyone been through this and what worked for you? I am so scared of having to experiment with myself again. I'm still not mentally over the last time. Help!

Early Hypo/Hashi's Complicated By Adrenal/Low Cortisol
I wonder about the
testosterone
causing some body revving ........even though the
testosterone
blood work indicates I am about 60% along the normal range, so not over medicated.

Aromatase, estrogen, and how (and WHERE) they work?
of the problems that men experience on ADT are not actually directly from low-T, but they are from low-E (and that is a direct result of low-T, since estrogen in men is derived from
testosterone
). When we make T the target of our therapy, we also kill E, to our possible detriment.

Post-RP tTestosterone to DHT ratio
"After
testosterone
from the plasma has entered the prostatic cell through diffusion it is metabolized to other steroids by a series of enzymes. Over 95% of
testosterone
is converted to the most important prostatic androgen dihydrotestosterone."

DHT / Avodart
(The true target of ADT is DHT - not
testosterone
[T].) Myers used blood tests to monitor DHT. My concern with DHT is that it might be made within cancer cells. Normally, DHT is made from T. However, there are alternative pathways not dependent on T.

Incredible loss of strength on limited ADT
Currently as of last month I am .048 PSA with low
testosterone
, however
testosterone
went from 1.2 to 1.9 during the 3 month tests. These are Canadian numbers I think they use something different in US tracking.
