ACCELERATED MIGRATION AND INVASION OF PROSTATE CANCER CELLS AFTER A PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY-LIKE CHALLENGE: ROLE OF NITRIC OXIDE
However,
testosterone
, an androgen, also increases NO concentration and survival of prostate cancer cells, suggesting that NO’s mechanism in androgen sensitivity and resistance remains elusive [1,2,181,182].

New to the site and diagnosis
Went to for
testosterone
pellet for better daily gym weight lifting and running and had a PSA of 100. WTH? Then the journey started. MRI showed Pca and some regional (2) nodes affected. Gleason of 9. ALL other scans negative. Took 30 days casodex and just got second Lupron depot injection.

Can grumpiness, mood swings, etc, be directly attributable to levels of testosterone due to Prostrate Cancer?
Having recently being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, I have found bad mood swings, prickly as a porcupine, not nice to be near symptoms more frequent.

Catabolic Wasting, Cachexia and Sarcopenia - Life Extension Foundation, Section Update: 03/2021
As most men with PCa are oldER and may be on some form of
testosterone
-blocking treatment, like ADT, odds are they are also struggling with the muscle-wasting and weight issues that comes with both oldER age and loss of T.

Smoother skin From Lupron? Chemo?
Could this be the lack of
testosterone
? From the chemo? It's certainly not an issue, but curious. Thanks.

breast pain
I have been off of ADT (Lupron/Zytiga) for about a year and a half - my PSA remains at about 0.2 since my
testosterone
came back about a year ago (currently at 250 ng/dl). a couple of months ago, both breasts started to hurt. They did swell under ADT but have remained constant since I went off.

Follow up with VA Testosterone Trial
July 21st I completed my blood work and received my next
testosterone
shot. My ALP was 63 but my PSA numbers are climbing with a 14.4 result. I left out of my last post that I have three cancer areas on my spine where the neck area is the worst.

How infrequently can you be administered Lupron?
It seems if I keep with the normal monthly regiment, my PSA drops below .2 and my
Testosterone
goes to <3. If I don't take Lupron for 2 months by PSA is at .4 but my
testosterone
is now 165. I am 60 years old.

Anyone prescribe Metformin for prostate cancer not for diabetes?
In benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) xenograft models, metformin inhibits
testosterone
and attenuates prostate weight and pathological alterations31.

Milestone Day
Prayers up that the
testosterone
returns, and the PSA does not! I am ready to not be bearing the fatigue / hot flashes / emotions that are the hallmark of ADT.

PSA Rising after 5 years
My
testosterone
is still 0.1 nmol/L. This means I am still castrate sensitive. I guess my question is what should I add to my treatment plan to get the PSA under control. Recent scans show original metastatic disease stable with no new sites.

Undetectable PSA is back
Yesterdays blood test shows PSA < 0.05 and
Testosterone
0.03. I restarted Lupron end of January, so it’s now six months. Would you recommend a total of 12, 18 or 24 months before the next holiday or continue „forever“?

Venesection and NAFLD and serum ferritin
High ferritin increases haemoglobin, it also damages the liver but also is caused by a damaged liver, it reduces
testosterone
(which may explain why I started having
testosterone
in the first place!)

Testosterone gel pre-ivf
I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience of using
testosterone
gel prior to an ivf cycle? I’ll be starting my 3rd cycle soon, and I’m doing four weeks of
testosterone
first to help wake my ovaries up a bit first. I’ll also be using Meriofert as opposed to Ovaleap like my last two cycles.
