Has anybody tried wockhardt levothyroxine?
I can only get along with Eltroxin or Mercury Pharma. Levothyroxine. It is impossible where I live to get either of these at the moment. Today I was offered Wockhardt, which I have never heard of. My prescription stated Mercury Pharma. but the pharmacist here is hopeless and very offhand. I would

Been referred to an Endo after 4/5 years of feeling awful with my under active thyroid...
I went to see our nurse at the doctors today for more blood tests, I had bloods taken 6weeks ago as my TSH had gone up to 31. My meds were increased from 125 to 175 of Eltroxin. In those 6weeks I had 17 wonderful days of feeling well and human again. After those first few weeks I was back to how I was

I was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism about 8 years ago, although have had symptoms for as long as i can remember. Ive been on varying levels of eltroxin since. Currently I feel so bad, hair loss, no sleep, dizzy, blurred vision. I am on my highest dose of eltroxin and feel the worst I've ever

No more Eltroxin - bad reaction to generics. Can anyone help?
Hello, I was diagnosed with myxoedema in the early nineties, and a couple of years ago was switched to Etroxin brand levothyroxine (requested by doc on repeat prescriptions) because I was having problems with the generics; racing heartbeat, lack of sleep, etc. That was fine until recently when it became

Hi all I have an under active thyroid and my eltroxin has been increased from 125 mg to 175 mg as my TSH went from borderline to over 31.
My question is I am now on day 4 of the increased dose and have been feeling back in the land of the living again which is fantastic, I have so much more energy and haven't felt the need to have my usual 2 hour a day sleep. I was just wondering if how I have been feeling is purely psychological or is

It tool my symptoms getting much worse about six months ago and my cholesterol doubling to get a trial of eltroxin. I felt an almost instant

Thyroxine and joint pain. I've heard that certain brands of thyroxine might be more likely to make joints ache. Is there a certain brand
That could be better to ask the Dr to prescribe is it Eltroxin ?.I have recently increased my dose from 50 to 75 as my TSH went up to 3.8 and I had bad pains and hip bursa also my fingers are really painful, with trigger finger in 2 fingers. On increasing to 75. I went slightly over, 0.24 with a range

Eltroxin no longer being produced
I know there was an issue regarding being able to obtain Eltroxin (beginning of the year) but I was advised yesterday that it isn't being produced at all any more. Has anyone else been told this please? Many thanks Liz Edited by admin to list in the FAQ category

Exercise is recommended but walking for a half hour leaves me spent out taking days to recover. How can I surmount this problem ?
Most times I just do not want to get out of bed. I am only on 25mcg Eltroxin for about a month now and am prescribed this for another two months. After this I return to a GP who is of the "send them off with anti-depressants" type. Definitely not the up to date Thyroid type.

Well I go to the foot of our stairs.....
or, for fear of sounding too much like Victor Meldrew, I just don't believe it. How simple can a medication review at the GP's be, you make an appt, you turn up at the appt, you discuss what meds you are on and at what level - in my case I informed the GP that I had reduced my T4 down to 112.5mcg's
