Patella tendonitis
A trip to the physio today and it seems I have 'jumper's knee'. I'd only got half way through week 4 of Couch to 5k and had to stop due to severe knee pain. Hopefully a few weeks of knee strengthening exercises and foam rolling (never used one before so that should be interesting)I should be able to

Am I showing signs of rickets?
I didn't know where to post this but I've noticed the lower half of my legs are bending and there is a clear discrepancy between the knee joint and the lower half of the leg. The right side seems to be worse than the left and I dont know if it's because I have rickets. This is causing me huge anxiety

I’m continuing to consolidate since completing C25k in May. I was running mon, weds and Fridays but my knees and groin were complaining about this quite a lot. So I took a week off and decided I would now run every third day. I am loving this new routine. I am also trying my own interval training of

Possible Stress Fracture
I have been going with extendor
tendonitis
tried all the ice pack foot massage home remedies etc and even though things have improved significantly as the swelling has reduced I still have small niggling pain when putting pressure on my foot.

Advice l would give to myself once graduating!! 😂
Hi, Thought l would pop over from the bridge to share a few thoughts! I graduated c25k about 14 months ago and like many of you was at a bit of a loss! I know that l needed to consolidate but also loved the structure of c25k, so my first advice would be don't rush. You really need to take time to build

Overpronation, patella tendinitis and overspending
So.... long time no post. Been doing good, 3x a week, gradually building to 10k, then struck down by dodgy knees. Physio verdict, quad, glute and band strength exercise ‘to fatigue’ but carry on running. Just get some insoles for your shoes for arch support. Result? New shoes. Bye bye Altra Paradigm

Done it, finally !
I think its Insertional Achilles
Tendonitis
and have a Physio appt booked 24th May. For now doing a variety of excersizes for it, tried icing and taking a hot bath instead of shower. Well onto a 5-10K app now 🚶🏾♂️😄 and possibly some new trainers with a heel raise. 👍

Back on IC
And it is due to walking not running though it may be due a slip which happened shortly after the walk. Whatever caused it, my right knee is now out of action. It is swollen & a bit painful but improving slowly. I have assessed it & it is ligament injury so it will take a while to heal. Till then it

No running in my near future😞
So it turns out I now have a different diagnosis of peroneal
tendonitis
in both ankles. So sad because now looks like I’m not going to be able to run for 6-8weeks. But I will be back as soon as I am able😢

This is really interesting and informative
Hi all I receive alerts from Medscape on different health issues. I just stumbled upon this one on RA. It is for treating doctors, a case study, questions and answers and an evaluation at the end to see if they have learnt or found the activity helpful in treating the patient. I did the activity,

I feel great. What's happened? Are my adrenals working?
For the first time in 3 years and 4 months I do not feel sick. I was wrestling with hip and pelvis pain for several months which was determined to be from a hip impingement. After a steriod shot there I now feel well all over. Thinking at first it was the effects of the shot i was being cautious

‘Rest day’ exercises?
Hello everyone! Now I’m on week 4 I want to start doing some exercises on the days in-between. Has anyone got a programme or anything they follow, perhaps a runners strength training or something similar? I have a static bike at my house and a weight bench with some dumbbells - I’m just trying to work

Missed this......wonderful relaxing run this morning :)
9 days and no runs - work, family outings, hobbies, niggly
tendonitis
has meant missed runs BUT on the positive side it feels SO good getting back out there :) Cooler morning but no signs of the torrential downpours we had yesterday!

Wk4r2 - reminder to self:follow the plan
Today I ran wk4r2 and found it considerably harder than run 1. I have myself to blame. I decide to deviate from the plan and yesterday instead of having a rest day i decided I would just get on the treadmill mill and run in my impatience to progress. I ran for 13 minutes though felt I could probably

Healing Achilles Tendonosis
I am a 75-year-old California psychologist, physically active, and working full-time. I was diagnosed with PMR in January 2018 and have slowly reduced my prednisone dose to 5.5mg., with only one major flare. This forum has been enormously helpful to me In dealing with Prednisone reduction schedules,
