Endo recommendations?
Please! Can anyone send me (via private message, do not reply here please) recommendations for a private endocrinologist who has a record of prescribing NDT or T3 and won't baulk at suppressed TSH. Does such a specialist even exist?I think I'm moving towards being prepared to self medicate if it doesn't

New possible treatment being researched
Just read an interesting article about some research at Trent University that says there's hope for a new PCa treatment. It's a naturally occurring molecule called carnosine and seems to indicate much fewer side effects. As I've written before, I think ADT is too harsh and takes away too much, so I

BBC Article : Prescription drugs sold online without robust checks
Whenever I see this type of article - the BBC and others produce these things every couple of years, I think - I start worrying that I'm going to lose access to thyroid hormones on the web. I know this subject came up with the MHRA last year or the year before, but I don't have a link. Link : https:

Why ADT after Ray treatment?
OK, I'm sure there is a logical answer to this question but at present it is evading me. So for all of us who decide to take the ADT path for a few months to stabilize our PCa and then hit it with the big guns such as a month (or more) of IMRT and in my case a follow-up of HDR Brachy Boost therapy,

New Developments in My Husband's PCA Journey
Hello, I wanted to provide an update on my husband's progression and, hopefully, some of you may have some knowledge to share or have a similar profile. His psa has risen from <0.04 since RP for Stage 3b to 0.06 in 9/23. A recheck a week later showed a rise to 0.1. This was followed by a drop to <.04

PSA suppression
My PSA lows tend to be around 3.3, and it occurs to me that some might think it odd that I don't drive it lower. I think it is very common for men on ADT to draw too much comfort from a significant PSA reduction, if not a near-zero PSA. I have witnessed men misinterpret a dramatic drop in PSA as

ndt and osteopenia
Hi, I have low thyroid and been on Ndt now for some months and feeling great, 1 1/2 am 1 pm. I have just been diagnosed with osteopenia which can be the start of osteoporosis. Watching YouTube physio’s one pointed out that low thyroid meds can contribute to our bodies not being able build bones. I think

Update On Eclipse Trial-another failure. Has LU-177 worked for anyone?
In 2010 at the age of 59, I had Da Vinci surgery with a Gleason 4+5=9 and PSA of 9. Post surgical biopsy showed all margins clear with no seminal vesicle involvement and Gleason post-op score was changed to a 4+3=7. Subsequent PSA was non-detectable as tested every three months for the first two years

Long term ADT bone loss mitigation tips?
My post RP BCR was diagnosed 8 months ago when they said, "you will be on ADT the rest of your life". I am on Lupron and abiraterone 4 months now. I am taking 1000mg of calcium per day and 2000IU of D3 per day. If I am lucky enough to last years, what else can I do to prevent the loss of bone? Thanks

One month of Orgovyx completed
Just a quick update for those Brothers on, or considering ADT with, Orgovyx. Today I started the second month of my 6 month sentence. As of today I have had virtually no side effects. I purposely lost 8 pounds prior to going on it, and today the scale says I am down another pound. Just back

Anger
Good morning, I had seen here recently some comments on anger and how ADT increases it. This is the first I've read about this, and it makes sense as I look back, I have developed anger issues. Question, is it anger from just being in this messed up situation, ADT for a decade, and just feeling the

Into the Great Unknown
Well, I just wrapped up two years of ADT (Lupron and Xtandi) on top of 36 rounds of radiation, and a RARP. At 57 when diagnosed (PSA 5.2, Gleason 4+3, one affected pelvic lymph node per PSMA PET scan), our plan was to throw the kitchen sink at my PCa and see if we can’t knock it out. Here I am at 59
