Whether you are in the early stages or further along in your journey, the OPA is dedicated to offering support and guidance. Did you know? There are over 65 Million people in the UK and it is estimated that over 1 in 10 people suffer from Reflux Disease. Reflux disease can have a terrible impact on a patients quality of life affecting many aspects of their everyday functioning. For many people, this can be managed effectively with lifestyle changes and/or medication prescribed by their GP such as omeprazole, lansoprazole and esomeprazole (as well as others). However there are over 2 million people in the UK who do not respond effectively to this treatment and for these people, there are other options they can consider to treat their disease. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the charity that gives help and hope to people affected by lung cancer. The charity has two aims - supporting people living with lung cancer and saving lives. Working closely with lung cancer nurses we provide information, run lung cancer support groups and offer telephone and online support. We fund research, campaign for better treatment and care for people who have lung cancer. We raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis. Our lung cancer prevention work helps people to quit smoking and encourages young people not to start smoking.

There is a lot of good information here from other patients, survivors, and caregivers on topics like DCIS, mastectomy/double mastectomy surgery, inflammatory breast cancer, taxol, breast lumps, breast cancer stages, and more. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to message an admin who will get back to you. As a community we have rules.
