Taxol

My hair just now is quite long and treatment is 6 sessions of carboplatin and taxol .

On Days 7 and 15 (Taxol), she experienced no side-effects. She started Day 1 (Carbo + Taxol)today and is having the burning pain once again. Doctors have reassured us that this is not uncommon after surgery - however, we are still worried.

Hi, I havent posted for a while, I was diagnosed stage 4 OC in 2014, I had 6 treatments of carbo/taxol and debaulking as well as 18 treatments of Avastin. I was told NED in April last year, my CA125 went down to 12 from 4000!

Having finished 6 months of weekly taxol (third line) on Tuesday my hubby and I and my parents are on a break to Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales with our dogs here's a quick pic, we went to Ingleton Waterfalls today which is just stunning and did a 5 mile walk.

Have any of you had success with it on weekly Taxol? Jane

Two arms allow trialling of the PARP inhibitors, and the other arm is standard weekly Taxol (with a sweetner of access to Olaparib if your cancer gets worse...). Guess which arm I was selected for? Hey ho.

Hi lovely ladies saw the surgeon yesterday and went through what may need to happen and was told I may end up with a stoma and then will need carbo and taxol about 8 weeks after surgery.

Finally I'm considering an alternative route altogether by seeing a herbalists to not only see if it can help in terms of cancer but to help make me stronger in case I have to go back on the horrid carbo/taxol again 😕 so anyone have any recommendations in regards to this?

The first dose of Taxol and carboplatin 2 days ago were tolerated very well. But today she has had increasing abdominal pain going through to the back.

re-diadnosed with high grade serous OC, operation now possibility, confirmed and done at third hospital six weeks ago, now recovering well except for extreme fatigue, just seen consultant gynae/oncologist at same third hospital and given options of further treatment including 2 sessions carboplatin/taxol

there anywhere that we can use while on chemo.I'm not into the gray,but will take that over losing it Having carbo only this time,what to expect from side effects also.I'm in pretty good shape.Walk everyday.I'm sure I will have a few days were I will have to go a bit slower.I don't know if the carbo/taxol

Well a short time after my diagnosis, I have now had my first chemo treatment of carbo and taxol. The procedure was fine and I was well prepared for the possible side effects from my CNS. Days 4 to 7 have been hell, I have not even managed to get out of bed.

High grade 3c on 1st recurrence after 1st line taxol/carboplatin. Been given tamoxifen sor 12 weeks then will have to scan before I see oncologist 14 August. I believe tamoxifen is still experimental with ovarian cancer any ladies on tamoxifen. X

I was treated with taxol/carbo the last two times.This time I will only be treated with carbo.Hope this works on its own.Anyone doing carbo on its own/Side effects.etc.Did it work.I'm p.p.c..Stage 3....Feeling alot of emotions right now,but I will keep fighting the fight.😔Lynn Barre 💙💙

Finished first line chemo (carbo/taxol) while in a PARP double blind clinical trial, December. Stayed on the PARP (much higher dose when done with chemo--felt nothing, no reaction and bloods stayed the same) since.

All everyone told me before I started this combo was that it's a walk in the park compared to carbo / taxol but I'm suffering so much more and it's really getting me down.

Currently I've had carboplatin and taxol chemotherapy but unfortunately this didn't work. I'm due to start a new regime of oxaliplatin and capecitabine in a couple of weeks.

As some of you know, I was dx in June '16-Stage IV, BRCA positive, 6 cycles of carbo/taxol starting in August (debulking after 4 cycles) ending in December '16. I was on a clinical trial with a PARP inhibitor from the start of chemo--could be on a placebo of the real thing (double blind).

I was treated with carboplatinum and Taxol for nine weeks then in February 2016 I had surgery to remove fallopian tube's And Ovaries and The omentum long with a section of The sigmoid colon .

My previous treatment was the Carboplatin and Taxol, so the gem will be new to me. They may even throw in Avastin for good measure. Has anyone been on the carbo and gemcitabine? What kind of side effects did you have particularly on the gemcitabine?
