Tamiflu

So I contracted Influenza A and was pretty ill for 4 days but still not so good despite 6 days on Tamiflu.

I had Influenza A June 30 with symptoms resolution in 5-6 days with 10 d course of tamiflu Oddly, last week after starting to feel a lot better after Ven cessation I developed symptoms and tested positive on a dna amplication test for Influenza A again so back on antivirals No idea how I got it

A month and half ago, I had an attack of flu which was treated with Tamiflu. After that my mental anxiety has increased significantly. I did think it to be interaction between Tamiflu and Lupron. I have been on Lupron for 4 years with two nine-month breaks.

Has any member tried Tamiflu (Oseltemivir) for ITP. My haematologist has tried everything and my platelets still under 10. In desperation she is trying me on Tamiflu and I wonder if anyone has had any success. Thanks Penny

That’s how antiviral drugs like Tamiflu (oseltamivir) work against influenza. If someone is exposed to the coronavirus, molnupiravir might be used preventively but research has not yet demonstrated such a tactic.

The patient was given hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and Tamiflu (not proven treatments for COVID-19).

After being prescribed Tamiflu and reading the instructions, I read where it is helpful to those who may have been exposed to the flu but do not yet have symptoms. As a precaution, I asked my husband's general physician to give him a 10-day dose of Tamiflu, which he did.

Is it ok to take Tamiflu?

How often during a "flu season" can one take Tamiflu; will it work a second time if one has to repeat it again three weeks later? Grandson, at University, has asthma bad, got off plane 3 weeks ago, 2 days later flu symptoms surfaced, tested...it was Influenza-B, took Tamiflu, recovered quickly.

Wear a mask in the waiting room - another 4 hours to see a doctor, pack of Tamiflu, throw the antibiotics away. Finally - 5 days later - I feel much better. I can't fault the NHS here. On each occasion I asked and was given an emergency appointment.

The other is a capsule called Tamiflu. 10) if you take an anti viral influenza A medications it must be taken within 48 hours of your signs & symptoms. 11) an anti viral influenza A drug may make you feel a lot better and can even make you feel so well that you think you don’t have the flu any more.

They are a nasal spray called Rulenza (it is difficult to know if you get the correct dose with this method) & a capsule called Tamiflu. 11) the treatments will have the best chance of working properly if you commence them within 48 hours of influenza A hitting you.

The only viral treatments available are Rulenxa (a puffer) & Tamiflu a capsule. If you take Tamiflu you may feel completely better in 1-2 days but need to have total bed rest still for 7-10 days otherwise the flu will rebound worse than ever.

Second one 45 days later was heart rate 139 This was after getting flu and taking Tamiflu. Side effect Tachycardia. Had Defib implant 8 yrs ago. Never went off. No dr. wants to put in three lead pace maker. Went off amiodarone and swelling in legs and feet stopped.

Took Tamiflu for 5 days and I was feeling so much better . The past two days I am feeling so tired , even after using my cpap all night . I swear I have an UTI so I went to the Urgent care but nothing .

She prescribed Tamiflu. This was the worst I have ever felt from the flu virus. Five days later on a slow recovery I had a GPA flare up. I was in a sorry state. I couldn't co-ordinate my movements properly and I had a bad chest infection.

Then Tamiflu and then another antibiotic and Symbicord inhaler. Was sent home with cortisone tabs to taper down and then for some unknown reason (madness) when I stopped those - I did not start my usual dose of Pred (6mg).
