Flu Jab... yes or no?
Welcoming comments, as usual. I understand this is subjective and that one has to decide what to do but a few ideas would be welcome. Because i have RA and other autoimmune diseases my immune system is fairly low but it is further depressed by the biologocal drug I inject weekly (Enbrel), so my rheumatologist

Flu jab - should I?
Hello everyone, I've previously (prior to being diagnosed with Under active thyroid), have had the flu jab (paid for it at Tesco), my query is .... are there any issues with this whilst taking Thyroxine? Many thanks.

I am supposed to be starting a new job this week. But may have to delay it for a week, if my new employer will wait that long as it's in a call centre. To explain, I have had a cough day and night now for about 5 weeks now, and even with using my fostair the doctor doesn't think it's properly controlled

Has anyone else been told that a flu jab could provoke a flare up of scleroderma?

Hi my name is Angie, and I was recently diagnosed with CLL stage 0. I have never been a medicine type of person and try to eat healthy and live a healthy life style. My onglogist recommended that I get the flu shot and two pneumonia shots every five years. Has anyone taken these shots and is there

FLU SHOT
Well I got my flu shot and had a reaction first time ever was in bed for 4 days, fever, chills, nausea, pounding headache and body aches. Dr said its because my immune system is way down. Be careful when getting your shots.

UK and Flu vaccine
Had to go to the GPs today to pick up a repeat prescription for hypertension. While I was waiting for the receptionist to finish on the phone I spotted flu vaccine flyers and a list of dates/times to get flu jab. Now booked for wife and I on 23rd Sept. It's now approaching the time to get in line

It's that time of year again!
Hi everyone, I have just received my appointment through for my annual flu vaccination. Having only been diagnosed with PMR in June, would you more knowledgeable people on here recommend that I go ahead with it or not?

Flu vaccines?
This is a quick question. I've taken a flu shot for many years, usually in September. I believe I've read that some vaccinations are contraindicated while on Pred. But I don't know if ALL vaccinations are contraindicated. Any advice?

Amino Acids and AF
Please reply if you have ever used amino acids and have noticed changes in your AF or syncope. Specifically: Taurine, Argenine, Glycine, Citruline and Carnitine. Also, please reply if you have taken other aminos and have noticed changes to your AF or syncope.

Flu vaccine
Hello friends, I finished 6 rounds of FCR in March. I was so disappointed to discover last month that my white cell count and neuts were lower than when I was going through chemo. Had bloods checked last week and still the same. I've just returned to work at a school but am nervous now I've heard all

Australia's big flu season and some possible reasons. Will the Northern Hemisphere follow with a bad season?
Want to know how flu cases are tracked and the common types determined? Or how each year's flu vaccine is designed? Ian M. Mackay, Adjunct assistant professor and Katherine Arden, Virologist, The University of Queensland look at the reasons behind this year's big flu season in Australia: https://theconversation.com

Shingles vaccine
Hi, my wife has recently been diagnosed with CLL fortunately at 0 stage at present. I have reached a landmark age (70) triggering an invite for a Shingles vaccination which I am believe is a live vaccine and if I have a reaction this could be a potential danger to someone with a compromised immune system

Before 11am - Flu jab reminder
Hi all, I've just received a txt from GP surgery re flu jab walk in clinics so thought I'd remind everyone to aim to have jab before 11am for maximum efficacy. The earlier the better I'd say!

Starting the Marty Hinz Amino Acid Protocol. New Dr.
Drove 2 hrs to see the new Dr today. It was well worth it. Finally a doctor that speaks our language, if you know what I mean. He has several patients on the amino acid protocol and they are having success with it. Very encouraging. All were worse than me when they started (my UPDRS is 33 on my worst
