AT episode after ablation
Hi, I had my ablation done (for atrial
tachycardia
) on the 14 april. The surgeon said that it was moslty a success (he burned the main place responsible of the
tachycardia
) just a little place wasn't burned because he didn't succeed to trigger enough the tacycardia.

Update on update GP visit re: Tachycardia
Went to my GP three weeks ago because my heart rate was above 100 while resting usually 115 bpm or less but above 100. He prescribed Bisoprolol 1.25mg once a day and I've been taking it ever since. Had a follow up appointment at my GP today and when he took my heart rate it was 100. So he's increased

Thinking of switching son to Intuniv (Guanfacine) - any thoughts and advise from parents who’s kids take Intuniv as a sole ADHD medication
Hi, My son experiences
tachycardia
on Atomoxetine. We lowered the dose and his pulse has not gone down much. I believe it is a train on his heart and I don’t think this is good for him long term.

Update on GP visit re: Tachycardia
I posted on here a few weeks ago about my
tachycardia
. My heart rate was above 100 while resting usually 115 bpm or less but above 100. Saw my GP the other day and he took my blood pressure and pulse rate and has prescribed me with Bisoprolol Fumarate 1.25 mg.

Good morning everyone, I have AF and MAT (multi focal atrial
tachycardia
) My question is this! I am having trouble sustaining a conversation with anyone for any length of time and also laughing is an issue.

Update 8.0 - Next chapter
I have had no incidents of
tachycardia
since June 2023. I am very pleased about that. Hopefully that trend will continue. As an interesting side note, the cardiologist agrees that systemic inflammation (from JAK2/NF1 mutations) plays a role in cardiovascular and other medical issues.

Fallen off my little pink cloud
Started Thursday with increased PVCs and SVEs which developed into AF and then
tachycardia
/flutter at 140 bpm. I rang arrhythmia nurse who said to increase my sotalol and monitor till Monday but I am still in AF/flutter or whatever it is ( Saturday).

More On Rate Control Meds
In other words, they have little effect at lower heart rates, while exerting a robust dromotropic effect at rates encountered with fast conducting atrial fibrillation and thus provide protection from
tachycardia
-induced cardiomyopathy when it is most needed.

Unanswered questions
from normal rythem to
tachycardia
this can last from anything from seconds to 2hrs it doesn't feel like a normal palpatation where it's a thud bounce back again it's a " vibration " I'm at my wits end to be honest

At least now I know I can't have another dreadful AF attack, which for me always turned into
tachycardia
and made me feel absolutely terrible, and frightened. Thanks all and keep well (tempted to say - keep regular!) Tricia x

Regular alternate irregular heartbeats, .75 sec then 1 sec continuous- is this AF or some variation?
My EP says that the
Tachycardia
is almost certainly faster AF and not a transient state, though the Kardia traces do show it as very regular when over 100. Initially I thought that maybe 99 was on the cusp of AF / Tachy and so it didn’t want to commit 🤔.

What is the difference between palpitations, ectopic beats, PVCs, SVTs, VTs?
Acronyms used: PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) SVTs (supraventricular
tachycardia
) VTs (ventricular
tachycardia

Myopericarditis - palpitations
It notes I had mostly sinus
tachycardia
and occasional SVEs. Whatever these are, they take my breath away, jump into my throat, and cause dizziness . 2 short runs of SVT were detected, which I did not feel. I had one I felt this week and went straight to A&E and went home.
