Crisis after ablation

Hi,

I had my ablation done (for atrial tachycardia) on the 14 april.

The surgeon said that it was moslty a success (he burned the main place responsible of the tachycardia) just a little place wasn't burned because he didn't succeed to trigger enough the tacycardia. My cardiologist said that I could return to sport after 10 days. So 15 days after the intervention I did a small run but during this one I had a tachycardy crisis.

I called my surgeon today but he didn't called me back so I just want to know if some of you had crisis after their ablation ? Do you think the ablation failed ?

Thank a lot and sorry for my english, I'm in France :)

Hi

I think occasionally it needs to be done twice- persevere trying to contact the cardiologist

I had some pretty severe tachycardia after my first ablation for Atrial Tachycardia. It is normal and common to have Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia for up to 6 months post ablation. I had to take Ivabradine for a short term due to that. Your heart has been burned and is healing. My EP said not to worry about it too much early on.
