I had my ablation done (for atrial tachycardia) on the 14 april.
The surgeon said that it was moslty a success (he burned the main place responsible of the tachycardia) just a little place wasn't burned because he didn't succeed to trigger enough the tacycardia. My cardiologist said that I could return to sport after 10 days. So 15 days after the intervention I did a small run but during this one I had a tachycardy crisis.
I called my surgeon today but he didn't called me back so I just want to know if some of you had crisis after their ablation ? Do you think the ablation failed ?
Thank a lot and sorry for my english, I'm in France

Your heart needs to heal after the small burns that are carried out in an ablation. I would say 10 days is not long enough for that.
Surgeons have no idea what it's like for us after an ablation. I was told I could be climbing mountains again in a few days - not true! For one thing I felt exhausted for weeks. Please take it easy for a few weeks more and allow your heart to heal without you making your heart pump harder.
Thanks a lot for your answer ! I have the same impression about the surgeons. I just had two days of work stoppage but I was really tired after all....
Frankly I think your EP is wrong to sugest you can get back to sport so quickly. Patient experience would suggest otherwise. Take it easy, stay well hydrated and relax for as long as possible,
