Zanubrutinib and ACE inhibitors
I am approaching the start of treatment for the first time. I have for many years been taking an ACE inhibitor (perindropril) for high blood pressure, which is now well controlled. I have CLL, my lymphocyte count is doubling quickly (~2 months) and my haematologist is considering options for treatment

Ejection Fraction
Recently had an echocardiogram, the results of which showed an EF of 35%. My ECG was normal, my BP which I check several times a day is consistently within normal parameters and as a result of the echo the cardiac consultant now wants an MRI but wants my Primary Care Physician to start me on Beta blockers

LISINOPRIL AND AFIB
Hello all, are there any on this forum taking lisinopril for high blood pressure? I just came across this today and it could explain why I and maybe others have more afib episodes than we should; 1. Caution: High blood pressure/heart disease meds and potassium-rich foods like bananas, potatoes and licorice

A cross in the sand
Does anyone else find this explanation helpful -- ? Imagine yourself sitting on the beach and you draw a cross in the sand like an 'x'. The first stroke represents your dopamine deficiency and the second stroke you draw several times as it represents an overactive adrenal response subsequent to the HABIT

when will i feel better?
My dad has been declining since heart attack in September. He has just been prescribed Ramipril. How long do you think it will be before he notices some benefits? We would be grateful to know of others’ experiences with ACE inhibitors

They ruptured my hepatic artery during
TACE
treatment. While waiting for this to heal injections for 6 weeks to prevent clotting I’ve developed 3 new tumours.

Still in HF?
Hi all, First post. This is a great forum, very informative and supportive. Diagnosed with hypertension 18 months ago, usual ACE inhibitors took 6 months to lower BP. Then came AF, on Atenolol and Eliquis, but side effects, and GP switched me to Bisoprolol. Symptoms worsened and I ended up hospitalized

treatment for my husband
my husband was diagnosed with MPGN in 1999 at age 22. He has been treated with prednisone, BP meds, ace inhibitors since diagnosis they now think it is C3G. I am looking for treatment options or those also treated with prednisone. Drs have concern about long term side effects of prednisone. So far

#1: The Start
Following the example of Clarebear I've decided to document my thyroid-adrenal journey on here in hopes it'll keep me accountable, and also may serve some after me. After a long, complicated history of no diagnosis, followed by lithium treatment, then prolonged time spent on T4 with no improvement,

Genetic Testing
Hi everyone, I would like to share one interesting experience related with my disease. Just a small recap, I diagnosed with FSGS this year, I am in 3a-3b phase. The problem is since I do not have any other disease, I am classified with primary FSGS. If I had any other certain cause to my kidney disease

He also had liver cancer due to his cirrhosis 6 months after being diagnosed, had a procedure called
TACE
and those cancer cells never recurred. So with that, i underwent a FIBROSCAN last august and I was diagnosed with early compensated cirrhosis.

Beta Blockers
An article in yesterday's Sunday Mail stated that Betablockers are not the first choice now for heart problems as research shows they are ineffective; in fact, they haven't been for a while and new patients would not be prescribed them and the preferred drugs are ACE inhibitors. I have been on a betablocker
