BP Medication and Nausea

Hello

I am on a combination of ARB/CCB to control my blood pressure which is now finally under control at an average of 120/75 following a number of changes to my meds.

However, the medication combo makes me feel very nauseous (I have given my body 6 months to adjust) but to no avail. I have had a reaction to ACE inhibitors before and don't want to switch to another CCB and find I have more problems. I previously didn't have any issue when I was just on one drug Losaratn.

So my question is, has anyone had really bad nausea (not necessarily being sick but just feeling sick all the time) and what was the solution i.e - different drug, diet change, nausea meds, sugar?

In the UK, it is quite difficult to see GPs face to face and over the phone my GP suggested Pepto Bismol which I subsequently found had been withdrawn from the UK market in 2021!

I believe there is a monthly patch that can be used for HBP. Sorry I don't know the name of it as I was never prescribed it, due to having CKD. Usually there is a medication prescribed for nausea.

Sadly it is trial and error with meds.

The monthly patch is Clonidine

Cheers
