So far not on medicine for hbp [160/90/] after 24 hr monitor as dr wanted further blood, urine tests. Some blood numbers not quite right and concerned about kidneys so have to give more fasting blood this week. Help with hypo and cardio symptoms appreciated.
I was diagnosed a year ago, after what I think was a decade of being borderline hypo. I take 25ug of levo and my last TSH measurement was 1.9. FT4 and FT3 are both 'within range'. My GP has prescribed ACE inhibitors and calcium channel blockers, neither of which had any effect on my blood pressure. She

ACE inhibitors
Hi - the Amlodipine aren't agreeing with me; been suggested that I try ACE inhibitors. Anyone give me any feedback if they are on them please? Thanks. Merry Christmas to you all.

Helloo, had a chat with my consultant today and bought up a problem that happens every now & again. Running for health
In Feb 2009 I went for a routine eye exam. My Optician sent me immediately to Bristol eye hospital due to an abnormality in my eyes. When I got there they checked my blood pressure and found it was high. 257/195 and this had pushed my eyes out of shape. I was immediately admitted to Bristol Royal Infirmary
