I received TACE treatment for my liver cancer after being diagnosed last June , the treatment was in August , fortunately it was a great success and has killed off the cancer and shrunk the tumour , I have one question though, does anyone still suffer hair lose after 5/6 mths ?? Not patches , just thinning , has anyone a recommendation to encourage growth ? I am really worried x

TACE treatment and hair loss
Willow I'm in the US and UK meds/measures are often confusing to me but I have cirrhosis and have suffered major hair loss, too. Ready to shave it but Finally cut off enough I couldn't put it in a hair tie and keep moisturizing/conditioning scalp weekly. As I lessened my meds the hair loss slowed down dramatically and now I have new growth coming in. Just this week I had my 1 year Zoom meeting with dr. and asked i there was a medication that contributes to it and panteprazelone (ant-acid) is the primary culprit. I have been taking a hair skin and nails supplement and collagen that have helped as well and didn't show up negatively in my liver health. It's worth exploring all your options and above all else, don't stress about your hair loss, the stress CAUSES hair loss. you have enough else to focus on. a new 'do may be a positive change, it was for me. keep your chin up
