Does Prednisolone cause anxiety, panic and depression?
Are there any alternative
steroids
that can help lupus without these side effects? I know we are not doctors. My doctor said they don’t know the cause and that it could be. The anxiety and panic and not able to think is changing my life completely for the worse.

Switching from T3 to T4
My adrenals are in very poor condition and have been deteriorating fast over the last years, taking
steroids
isn't an option for me (been there, done that), they simply make me even worse for all kinds of reasons (I can't tolerate almost anything anymore regarding meds and supplements).

I just want to understand what is going on.What i would like to discuss is my GP has told me to reduce the
steroids
very quickly, which I was pleased with because of the side effects.

Advice required
I had some pain return at 12.5mg and then at 10mg, I became close to where I had started before the
steroids
. My G.P. advised me to increase by 1mg for 10 days, and if no improvement increase by another 1mg which I did so currently taking 12mg.

no wheeze
I know in the next few days I will be back because she has got worse because they didn’t give her
steroids
today. Is a wheeze the only sign they are interested in 😫

Plantar fascia tear, due to long-term prednisone use?
He says it's an unusual injury, but likely due to long-term
steroids
. I have a tear to my plantar fascia, where it inserts under the heel. He strapped it and suggested heel cups to lift my heel (Amazon) and only supportive trainers while it heals.

Losing my hair
The
steroids
while not at all what I would have chosen do seem to have given me back some sense of myself so even though I am still housebound and on some days very immobile I have felt up to reaching out and finding others with similar experience.

Steroids and Diabetes type 2
since I’ve been on
steroids
for PMR, for just over 2 months, my blood sugar tests have increased from between 7 to 10, taken 3+ hours after meals, to between 8.5 to 12.5, taken 3+ hours after meals. Can I expect this to improve (lower) as I taper?

advice on sulfasalazine and the sun
I have been told by my rheumatologist nurse that I need to start taking sulfasalazine for my reactive arthritis, as I had a steroid injection after taking
steroids
orally, but it’s still not keeping the joint stiffness at bay completely .

I haven't really felt a difference in myself since starting the
steroids
and my peak flow isn't moving above 310 when it's usually about 450.

Normal cortisol levels
I was prescribed methotrexate during the year as a sparing drug because the
steroids
had an adverse effect. This didn't work so the rheumatologist prescribed leflunomide which again didn't work. He wanted to put me on a biologic which I was to inject at home, the name of this began with T.

How would a rational person deal with this? What would be their thought process?
Twelve years later I have been under ent had ct scans which have shown some sinus thickening, they said it didn’t look too bad and advised me to carry on with nasal
steroids
.
