tinging and prickly sensation on foot
I'd say yes see a GP. It may be nothing but best to get it checked. Good luck.
It is the beginning of nerophphy amd you better not ignor it !!
Get a real tight control on your glucose levels right now . Get back into you Mr doctor ASAP .
At first you can turn it around but soon you will not be able to .
It is nerve damage.
Amd it will become more and more painful to the point you can not stand it .
Good luck and watch your diet do not cheat on on your diet .
Sounds as if your diabetes doctor was having an overloaded day! From your description it sounds like nerve pain. It could be either due to damage from sugar levels that are too high or pressure from inflamed joints or damaged joints.
A GP might be able to sort out which but tighter control of your sugar levels might give the answer.
As I understand it what you are experiencing needs fast attention as it maybe a sign of sugar imbalance and could lead to other bad health conditions. Sureshj do take these symptoms seriously and see another DR if necessary. Best wishes for a good outcome.
Hi Sureshj
I don't think we can/should try and diagnose what is wrong from your description but anyone experiencing any symptoms that are causing concern and not going away should contact their GP or their rheumatology team and request a consultation and this is always sound advice. Good luck.
I’ve had that myself in the foot at night when in bed. Luckily not very often . Neuropathy nerve pain . I’m not sure what can be done about it but you should ask a doctor.
You should definitely follow this advice. Ask for a HbA!c test which is a good indicator of long-term high glucose levels.
You should also probably take multivitamins, particularly Vit B12. This could be the start of peripheral neuropathy & if neglected nerve damage cannot be reversed.
