Impact of Cerebrovascular Disease on Survival Benefits from Local Treatment in Patients with De Novo Metastatic Hormone-Sensitive PCa.
New Korean study below [1]. Basically, is there a survival advantage in having local treatment when diagnosed with metastatic PCa? Prostate cancer reoccurrence
I had my prostate removed robotically in 2013. I’ve had a reoccurrence and have had 10 daily radiotherapy treatments so far, ends beginning of January. Am on hormone tablets too. Fatigue a big problem but continuing to exercise daily. Really annoying that this has come back.

Hens teeth, aggressive sarcomatoid sccs and ruxolitinib
Hi. I’ve just been informed that that the sarcomatoid scc that I’d had excised from my cheek on Nov 6 th was indeed a recurrence of the same type that I’d had before, and it has a poor prognosis. Radiotherapy on my face might help prevent more spreading. Or might not. The new lesion was described

I Simply Don't Understand...
I love this group and enjoy contributing to it. Yeah, I've been a bit of a one-trick pony, as anyone who's seen my posts can attest to. I keep harping on the necessity for utilizing either my own ED device the Loop, or especially now, the new dynamic duo, FDA-tested Giddy and Xialla, for effectively

Any experience with PARP inhibitors (Niraparib)?

Recurrent Adenocarcinoma is now Stage IIIB
So I was scheduled to begin radiation on 11/18, but the week before, I reported pain in upper chest and back and some dysphagia along with a cough. A PET scan revealed a new lymphadenopathy above my clavicle. Also a suspicious mass-like growth above and adjacent to the very hypermetabolic subcarinal

My husband was diagnosed with nsclc in November 2018. He has since had chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He had a good response to the radiotherapy but at the scan results we learnt that he had 2 new suspected metastasis. 3 months later we were told he had a tumour in his other lung and also his liver.

Searched here for "Embelin" and found nothing
Yet, Embelin or Vidanga sounds interesting. 1) "Embelin-Induced Apoptosis of Human Prostate Cancer Cells Is Mediated through Modulation of Akt and β-Catenin Signaling" (2015). "... Embelin, isolated as the active component of the fruit of Embelia ribes Burm, is one of the important small molecular inhibitors

PSMA GALLIUM PET SCAN
Met with my University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center RO last week. She said that the experimental scan that I paid out of pocket for at UCLA "was now the state of the art" scan for locating PC. In my case it was post op, pre ADT, pre radiation therapy. Results, thank God, was only localized

Advice for men who are about to start hormone treatment for metastatic prostate cancer?
I'm writing to request advice about what tests you would recommend I should get before and during hormone treatment, which I probably will begin sometime in the near future. The treatment will probably begin with Casodex and then add Lupron. I have an appointment early Wednesday morning with my urological
