Do not know what to do..
I’ve been taking
statins
for the last 3 years due to high cholesterol so did some research and found that as well as lowering your LDL,
statins
also lower your CReactive protein, which is apparently an inflammation marker.

Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (Inherited High Cholesterol) alias FH
I found I had a natural cholesterol level of between 9 and 10 over 20 years ago and have been taking
statins
ever since, and wondered whether I fit into this condition.

Does taking Levothyroxine long term cause havoc with High Cholesterol and High Blood Sugar?
Recent tests state my Cholesterol is too high and on my records it says “see nurse and consider
Statins
”. I am a fit 67 year old otherwise and walk approx 4-5 miles most days. I have been unable to see a Doctor in person since May 2019.

Slight swelling and pain in right hand one week post angiogram procedure. Should I be worried?
I’m only needing to take
statins
. However 5 days post procedure I noticed the swelling on my forearm just above wrist ( opposite side of wrist to the wound site which is healing well). I did rest it post procedure followed all guidance given by hospital.

CRISPR EDIT OF PCSK9 = CURE ... Pt 2
Unlike
statins
or monoclonal antibodies, in theory this should be a one-and-done treatment because it will make permanent changes to liver cells that stop them from producing PCSK9.

Interesting article by Malcolm Kendrick: Assessing cardiovascular disease looking beyond cholesterol
https://journals.lww.com/co-endocrinology/Fulltext/9900/Assessing_cardiovascular_disease__looking_beyond.21.aspx I dont agree with all his opinions but having read his blog https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/ I do agree his evidence is compelling on this topic. I wonder how it might relate to cardiovascular

diet benefits?
However it does seem that the combination of the diet and the
statins
has had the effect of reversing the worst of the damage. Has anyone else had this or a similar experience?

... ETc. We know that's to promote optimum health but apart from saying, he'll probably have another attack , how can I explain this in a more relatable and specific cause and effect way? Any one had to do this before?

Effects of metformin and statins on outcomes in men with castration-resistant metastatic prostate cancer
There was no association with
statins
and OS in either COU-AA-302 groups. When pooling HR, OS was prolonged among those treated with
statins
(pooled HR 0.78, 95% CI 0.68-0.88).

Reducing Bisoprolol and medication combinations including Dapagliflozin.
Two years ago I was free of ever taking any medications at all, now I am taking
statins
, glucose reducing pills, beta blockers, inhibitors and fluid pills….I’ve realised that this is quite possibly a way of life now, weight gain and all that accompanies it.

Never felt so bad!
Cholesterol is 7.92 and I don't want to take
statins
. My eyes are sore and I get little sleep. Feel a bit of a train smash to be honest. Apart from lowering my levothyroxine I have no idea what else to do. Any advice would be incredibly grateful. I am 60 now. Thank you for this wonderful site!

Heart diagnosis query
Was given
statins
and blood pressure tablets and told he is a potential heart attack victim if he doesn’t take them. No health guidance or alternatives or advice. He is now worried sick that he could have a heart attack at anytime.

Statins.
GP wants to start me on Rosuvastatin as my cholesterol level has risen (7.7) since starting my treatment on Decepeptyl and Xtandi. Was wondering if starting a statin would reduce the effects of my treatment on the prostate cancer itself. Many thanks in advance
