After having a cardiology angiogram last I was told then by the cardiologist that I would need a stent but he would speak to colleagues. Then I got a letter to say I’m staying on my meds plus statin’s and aspirin. My finding were “Access was via the right radial artery. Results showed mild ascending

Cholesterol problems - high protein, good fat diet recommendations
Ideally, I am looking for high protein breakfasts which fit the criteria above but without condemning me to daily

! Many thanks in advance for the recommendations.

Diet advice please! Low carb vs wholegrain carbs...
Came back to
statins
as a result, trying simvastatin now as I suspected atorvastatin was making me feel like a zombie. I went back on wholegrain carbs (not too much), and cut the saturated fat, just having olive oil and proactiv spread. Now I'm gaining weight!

Feet driving me mad!
Also get restless legs at times.Could this be the

Statins are great for teeth
Just rare a positive note about
statins
I am on Atorvastatin 80mg mega blast dose. I used to suffer badly from dental plaque, it needed scraping off by the dentist every few months. I am now dental plaque free. I now have low cholesterol and sparkling teeth which I acredit to the atorvastatin.

Prednisolone and increased cholesterol
My doctor wants to prescribe
statins
, but I’m reluctant to get involved with another drug that has unpleasant side effects. Do other members have any advice on this situation? Thanks

Pelic girdle issue
Alcohol, strenuous exercise, electrolyte imbalances, high protein consumption, viral infections, sleep acnea, renal issues,
statins
, antipsychotic drugs and some beta blockers. In another paper it stated that we can reduce the effects if they are caused by lifestyle habits.

Nausea and vomiting - at 7.5 / 8mgs Pred?
Have also given up the
statins
(ten days ago) as they used to give me stomach problems - have tried several types but the latest low dose Rosuvastatin seemed ok - however not planning to re-introduce it unless absolutely necessary, just covering all bases.

Still on 80mg of Statin
I was researching the taking of
Statins
on the NICE website and my surprise their recommendations that a patient should only be taking 80mgs if the patient is suffering from very high cholesterol or high risk of cardiovascular complications.

Absorption Causes
This drug is meant to protect my gut and stomach etc. from other medication that I have to take for blood pressure, heart, anti coagulant, (aspirin) and to prevent build up of cholesterol (
Statins
). Unfortunately it prevents me from ingesting and absorbing B12 orally too.
