Still can’t lose weight - on NDT for 3 months
My mother is severely hypo and was untreated while she was pregnant with me. I’ve been hypo literally my whole life, though I was misdiagnosed earlier in life until I figured it out myself 1yr ago after a couple miscarriages and 18 months of creeping weight gain. I take 120mg or 2 grains of Thyroid-S

Bradyarrythmia
I had an ablation almost 4 years ago in feb 2020. Since then I have rarely had any arrhythmias, that is until now. They started out of the blue almost two weeks ago and are constant. However , they are not like before, this time the average beats are 60 per minute. They go as low as 42 and as high as

T3 and endo advice needed / East Sussex
Hi, am really struggling to get T3 medication. I asked for an NHS referral to Sunil Z but got declined due to being out of area. I live in Brighton and he's Surrey and Sussex NHS. Can they just decline like this? I don't have limitless funds to do endless private blood tests and consultations. The cost

Diagnosis
Hi, I'm perimenopausal and my hormone dips have thrown up digestion, hyperosmia, brain fog issues and because of lack of appetite I have become malnourished and very low on ferritin despite trying the super heme from 3 Arrows. I've had some private bloods done. Notable results are:- T3 2.97 T4

T3 and testing protocol - can I please clarify timings?
I started taking T3 approx 8 weeks ago and I slowly built up to my current dose of 9mcg. I’ve been on that since 5th Nov (in addition to 62.5mcg of levo). I’m planning on testing over Xmas but wanted to clarify the protocol with regards to withholding T3. Am I right in thinking that testing should

Some advice please
Hi, I'm in surgical menopause and have not felt 'well' for a number of years now. I won't bore you with the backstory of my trials and tribulations with HRT, all in the pursuit of feeling well enough to fully function. I've questioned Thyroid for some time, I had tests last September and posted them

Twins?
Hi I just got a positive pregnancy test after having two embryos transferred. I am wondering if there is any way of knowing if both have successfully implanted or just one? What is the likelihood of both surviving? Thanks!

What to ask Endo?
Hi all Sorry this is quite long. I'm looking for some advice about next steps and what to ask my Endo when I see him next week. Background: I spoke to my GP in March 22 because I was exhausted and anxious and people I barely knew were commenting how awful I looked! She ordered a load of tests which

Good Morning all! I'm not here very often these days because largely thanks to the advice and support of the superstars here, my thyroid medication has been under control for a few years now. I hope this is a beacon of hope for those of you still battling through. I take my NHS t4 and I supplement

adult Dad with ADHD who has tried stimulant meds for the last time!
I recently after many years decided to try Vyvanse, after not using meds since my twenties due to terrible side effects, long enough ago were there was no Vyvanse. I’ve been in it for a week, and the anger, and irritability on only 30 mg’s is just too much to consider messing with it any longer. If you

Advice on latest test results please
My results below are from 19/1/24 and 26/3/24. I’m not using any thyroid meds and it would seem that my tsh is increasing while frees are decreasing. Any advice on what I should do would be welcome. 19/1/24 TSH: 2.77 (0.27-4.2) FT3:4.8 (3.1-6.8) FT4:14.3 (12-22) 26/3/24 - same ranges

blood tests
hi lovely people, I was wondering if you could give me any advice. I’m relatively new to all of this and I’ve had a very bad experience at my last hospital. I was misdiagnosed most of last year with Complex Regional Pain disease. My rheumatologist wouldn’t even consider an autoimmune disease. Anyway

Vitamin B6 Toxicity: Available Testing of B6 Plasma Level Does NOT Tell You What You Need to Know

Background
[/u]: Vitamin B6 participates as a coenzyme in over 100 different biochemical reactions. When it does so it is converted to the inactive form, pyridoxine. The body contains a recycling loop that restores the pyridoxine to the active form, P5P. Vitamin B2 is required for this process
