Fluid retention after CABG
Hey guys,I was wondering if anyone has suffered from long term water retention after having a CABG (quadruple)? The reason I ask is because my father has been taking 40mg of Furosemide for the past 10 years and his legs have been slowly getting worse. Any help/suggestions would be gratefully appreciated

I would really appreciate some help ,advice ,please!
I posted a couple of months ago asking for advice on alternative to Bisoprolol. After reading reviews I thought I would like to try Nebivolol. My GP wouldn’t prescribe Nebivolol ,only carvedilol, as I had an appointment with a cardiologist in 8 days I thought would ask the doctor then. During the

Has anyone had furosemide stopped?
Hi everyone, Just wanted to know if anyone else has been on furosemide long term and then had it stopped? To my surprise, I had a call from cardiology last week and was offered a cancellation appointment for mum. My previous post was about how annoyed I was that the appointment got cancelled 2 days

CRT pacemaker
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've been diagnosed with LBBB and am due to have a CRT pacemaker in the next few weeks (hopefully). I had no symptoms and it was only diagnosed following a pre-op assessment for a hip replacement I should have had in February - now postponed until the heart is stable

Magnesium Taurate
I know a few of you take Magnesium Taurate and say it works - where do you get this for a decent price that works? I am in NSR but feel the odd beat/flutter every now & then. My usual Multi Vit/Min contains only 29% magnesium & Ive just been put on Furosemide which I’ve read can deplete magnesium (

Bloated stomach and coughing
Hey allI've noticed my stomach is rather bloated and I'm constantly coughing. It's been like it a few days. I take furosemide and dapagliflozin to stop any fluid retention. I've noticed I'm getting tired more as well. Is it worth bothering my heart nurse in case of symptoms flaring up or am I overthinking

Lower back pain
Hi My name is Gulshan Munshi. I am 68 years old and suffering from lower back pain which travels down to my legs which makes it very difficult to walk or sit for a longer period of time. I get kind of strange type of pain in my right leg e.g. vein or bone getting on top of each other and until that comes

Amlodipine
I was taken off amlodipine some months ago and put on extra bisoprolol because I had swollen painful ankles. Later my cardiologist became concerned that.my dosage of bisoprolol was too high 7.5 mg and reduced it to 5. My blood pressure became high again and I was prescribed amlodipine again. This did

He confirmed the enlargement (not massive so far) and informed me it's one of the side effects of spironolactone buy could also be caused due to cirrhosis itself.
