Bloated stomach and coughing

Hey allI've noticed my stomach is rather bloated and I'm constantly coughing. It's been like it a few days. I take furosemide and dapagliflozin to stop any fluid retention. I've noticed I'm getting tired more as well. Is it worth bothering my heart nurse in case of symptoms flaring up or am I overthinking?

Hi Cherrelleford

Yes, it is definitely something that you should consult your nurse about. These are obviously new symptoms and they are worrying you. As heart patients, we should take caution where possible and I don’t think your nurse will feel that you are bothering her.

If your symptoms get worse today and you cannot reach your nurse, please call 111.

I hope you can try and enjoy the rest of your coronation bank holiday.

Keep us posted and all the best.

Thank you for your reply. I haven't got swelling anywhere else but I remember when first diagnosed my belly and back swelled up before my legs did. I will definitely give my nurse a call in the morning. Thanks again x

To add to the chorus ......talk to your nurse asap or call 111. Has your weight gone up over the last few days?

I've been on dapagliflozin for almost a year not had any issues. Could be my bisprolol as it's recently been increased. I've spoken to my heart nurse and she has no concerns but told me to monitor xx
