On the 13th I get to be a participant for researching
spasticity
on ms people. I am super excited to go. I also maybe getting a raise with a bigger apartment. Fingers crossed 🤞I was struggling with my health and despite that my company still believes I am worth more which is nice.

Stress fracture L2
My husband has a cervical spinal injury and was hospitalised about 3 months ago for a couple of weeks while they investigated a huge amount of extra
spasticity
which stopped his legs working. The only thing they found was a stress fracture at L2 which they attributed to Paget's Disease.

Starting Mavenclad!
After starting it, I quickly developed so much
spasticity
(pelvic and hip flexor pain) that it was interfering with my ability to walk any real distance. I wound up with a baclofen pump at month nine.

Feeling very impaired from my meds. It's making me anxious.
But I feel like I need all of them, particularly baclofen and hydrocodone since I have some painful
spasticity
in my pelvic floor and the right side of my neck and shoulder. Lately, my legs have started to feel tight, too.

Careful about vaccinations....
I had
Spasticity
kick in like I haven't had it in years. I even all but collapsed twice. Getting home and getting out of the car was a nightmare, but we finally manage to do it. My help leaves around 230 to 3.

My rollator wasn't as helpful because the
spasticity
was really bad. This bone on bone arthritis in my knees is so painful, but I'm just thankful that I'm still on my feet.😊

Reaching out
He is in a vegetative state, has
spasticity
and has lost about 3 stone in weight. It has really upset me and I keep going back to the image of him. I cannot imagine how his parents and immediate family are dealing with this.

pre-DBS Assessment advice please
I’m not tremor based, so going without meds causes massive rigidity, cramping and virtual
spasticity
. I believe that one has to go from 6pm to 11am the next day without the meds. I just can’t imagine how I’m going to get through these hours with such pain and twisting.

Baclofen pump update
The very severe
spasticity
in his legs has shown very visible improvements. He was started on a low dosage and we have been back to the hospital this afternoon for a follow up review. Consultant & pain clinic nurses were very pleased with how much more relaxed his legs are.

Update on son & Legal case began against Hospital Trust that failed him.
The improvement of the
spasticity
in his legs is more than we dared hope for. Physios have even managed to take him down to the gym and had him sitting on a bench and used the tilt and turn table. Aim of this is to try and improve his core strength - any small gains are big gains for him.

Get a grip
Me, the
spasticity
is all over my body. I do me a lot of stretching, legs goes without saying. I am always stretching my legs. But my grip strength has got a lot weaker. Every three months, I visit my neurologist and he always checks my grip strength.
