Hi all, happy to be able to share some very positive news. Son had his long awaited Baclofen pump surgery two weeks and has had very favourable reactions. The very severe spasticity in his legs has shown very visible improvements. He was started on a low dosage and we have been back to the hospital this afternoon for a follow up review. Consultant & pain clinic nurses were very pleased with how much more relaxed his legs are. They have increased the dosage so hopefully we can continue to see further improvements in the coming weeks.
On a different note, it has been lovely meeting up with D & Sean in Hawthorn’s. Both of our sons lives have been devastatingly changed by brain injury so I think we have an insight of each others pain, sadness, tears, anger, battles and more. An understanding which hopefully means we can be a support to each other whenever it is needed.
Best wishes Nanapal. x

Really good news Nan. Such a clever device for delivering the precise amount of medication at regular intervals ; long may the improvements continue for your son.
And it does my heart good knowing you and D are now able to support one another in person ! 😑 Love Cat x
