Chlorinated water protective for CLL?
Wow, surprising. Just found out my water filter hadn't been working and I've been drinking different levels of chlorinated for ? years. So just quickly googled, wondering if that explained my diagnosis 2019. But no! Maybe I should turn off my filter and put Britta aside as well --

Collagenous Collitis Advice
Hi, I’m just wondering how long you can take the maintenance dose of budesonide for Collagenous Collitis? Is there a time limit on this? I completed my 3 month course of 9mg/6mg/3mg but after a couple of weeks my symptoms came back. My consultant said that I could take 3mg for a further 8 weeks which

Immunocompromised and Active Virus Vaccine
I’m currently on 6.5mg/day prednisolone for PMR. My 6 week old granddaughter has just received her first Rotavirus live vaccine. Is there any risk for me being around her and if so, how, long should I should I keep my distance?

When to take Questran or Colestid powder
I am taking one sachet of Questran or Colestid powder (containing colestyramine or colestipol hydrochloride respectively) per day to control suspected bile acid malabsorption (I have a cooperative doctor - but I haven't been tested for BAM) and therefore IBS D - and with some success. My question is,

Hi everyone, I’m about to have my first treatment for cll. I also have ulcer colitis. Has anyone else had the same situation? Be good to hear feedback on any complications with having ulcer colitis and getting venetoclax medication. My doctor did say that one patient of hers had FCR treatment and it

Salofalk granules
Hello, I’m recently diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis and started taking 3mg of salofalk daily. I’m on day three and I’m literally stuck on the loo with awful diarrhoea & tummy cramps. Is this common when starting this medication. I feel worse now than before I started them! Thank you

IBD tracker app recommendations
Hello all I have recently been diagnosed with colitis. I would like to track my meds, symptoms, food etc. An app would be good rather than paper. I can see a few on the App Store but they don’t have a lot of reviews. Downloaded a couple but don’t seem that good. Any recommendations?? Thanks

Anyone with Calprotectin level higher that 6000?
My son (14) has been diagnosed with Crohn's 5 years ago. His initial Calprotectin levels were between 2000 and 3000. After a year and a half of Prednisone, Salazopyrin and Entocort his levels shot up to over 6000 (literally off the chart). The doctor ordered another test assuming that it was a false

Stopped: B. Longum BB536 (Morinaga) probiotic for gut related health issues (IBS) -> switched to b. infantis 35624 (Alflorex)
I'll no longer take Alflorex and will try another probiotic, Bacillus Coagulans. I also don't take bacillus coagulans anymore. These probiotics weren't beneficial for my health symptoms. **************************** Just started, the 11th of August, with a single strain probiotic, bifidobacterium longum

PMR & IBD connection
Curious to know if anyone has developed IBD after being diagnosed with PMR? I was diagnosed with PMR in January this year and have now been diagnosed with Colitis after having a horrendous 7 weeks and awaiting treatment. I was curious to know if the two are connected in any way. Thoughts greatly anticipated

When people talk about having flares, what does that mean with PMR?
I also have ulcerative colitis and know what it means in that context. With PMR I’m still trying to figure out what my base line is, or even if this is PMR. I was started at 60 mg for possible GCA but they believe that is ruled out (no inflammation markers, negative biopsy). The prednisone totally unlocked

Goodbye Simponi, going to try baricitinib
I have been taking Simponi, a once a month biologic injection, for 6 months now. The effect on my painful joints has been minimal, and it would only last 3 to 4 weeks each month. With the pain, stiffness, and exhaustion I have dealt with all these months, I can't wait to leave it behind. I will be

meningitis vaccine
Do CLL patients who have never had meningitis vaccine need two doses? I am asking about the meningitis vaccine for strains ACWY, such as Menactra, not the Hib/MenC vaccine. It looks like two doses are recommended based on google search but my Dr did not mention getting a second dose.
