I’m about to have my first treatment for cll. I also have ulcer colitis. Has anyone else had the same situation?
Be good to hear feedback on any complications with having ulcer colitis and getting venetoclax medication.
My doctor did say that one patient of hers had FCR treatment and it got rid of the cll and ulcer colitis at the same time. I have decided not to go down the chemo route but to try venetoclax first up.
Look forward to hearing some feedback on this?

I presume you been checked for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and Clostridioides difficile (C-diff) infections? H. pylori is a common cause and curable with a course of antibiotics. C-diff is harder to eliminate.
No I haven’t been tested for either or may have been back when I lived in the Uk. We are now living back in Nz 2015 and to be honest testing and treatment here is abit behind the 8 ball and abit frustrating when you have to tell your doctors what tests you need! I just had a fecal transplant last week to see if it makes any difference to the colitis, so far not a lot but early days. It’s not funded here and not really heard of, think I’m one of only trialing it here(because of costs involved) also I’m paying for my venetoclax as not funded for frontline treatment in Nz. Very frustrating.
Yes, Im actually looking forward to taking Venetoclax, talked to others and their outcomes have been so impressive that they believe they feel better than ever!
