Hello everyone, hope all is well?

Just putting it out there if anyone has been on Venetoclax for their CLL and Stelara for Ulcerative Colitis at the sametime? Or can anyone recommend medication for Ulcerative Colitis while taking Venetoclax?

Hi Driverps1

There was one previous posting that mentioned this subject:

Imbruvica & Hydrea treatment? by healthunlocked.com/user/lad... 2 years ago.

I am not a doctor and have no medical training- but some of the replies to the above posting

were from medically trained people, and they have suggestions in the replies.

You should probably notify both your CLL expert and your Gastro doctor of the treatments,

since the Stelara is likely a immune suppressive, and combining that with CLL may make you

very susceptible to infections.

Whether Venetoclax has suppressed your ANCI Neut# may also need some medical attention.

Hi Len,

Thanks for your reply, yes my Gastro doctor and Heamatologist are working together to find a solution. I just thought i would put it out there to see if anyone has had both UC and CLL to treat at the same time. Its a hard one due to UC treatment suppressing the immune system. Thinking maybe get into remission first and once off the meds then go onto Stelara later on once bloods back to normal. My Heamatologist said that one of her patients had FCR and it also cured the UC at the same time! I however have opted out of FCR and decided to go with V & O treatment.

Thankyou Stu

I understand ulcerative colitis is the same as crohn's disease? Did you have it before taking V or do you suspect it was caused by the drug? Because in all the cases that I have heard of it was caused by a less than ideal diet. And a simple dietary intervention can fix it in most cases. Read doctor Lustig's new book it is called "Metabolical" to learn more.
