IBS-D
Does anyone else with IBS-D go very often? For me I pass stools at most 4 times a day, they can range between loose and easy to pass to diarrhoea. Does anyone take anything to help the IBS-D? I’m only 21 and it’s taking over my life. Spoken to my doctor this morning and they have no clue what’s going

Increased dose Levothyroxine Sodium
I have been Hypothyroid since 1999, I had no need for any change in dose until 2014 when my doctor at that time did not put my dose from 100mcg to 75mcg for nearly a year thus losing weight from 8st to 6st... As with all Covid restrictions I have not seen a Doctor since 2019 and when I was contacted

Low stomach acid tests
I did the
sodium
bicarbonate "burp" test and it seems I might have low stomach acid. I have got 2 questions. 1) references Are there any NHS, NICE, BMJ or other UK standard references that confirm this link?

I'm new here & have benefited from your posts
Sodium
restriction on top of giving up alcohol has been really hard. We're only now looking strictly at how many grams or mg of salt is in everything - we thought we were doing well but salt is so pervasive!

Prep for Colonoscopy
Here in the UK the prep I have been given is Moviprep, containing lots of ingredients including
sodium
and potassium, both of which I know we are advised not to have too much if any. My CKD is stage 4 and I spoke to my nethrologist secretary and he seemed to think it would by okay to take.

About 'good' oils for NASH and NAFLD
I haven't been officially diagnosed, but believe this is my issue and has been for some time. I am going to overhaul diet and do what I can.... but I have a question about oils. I know all veg canola etc must be avoided. High quality olive oil is on your list to take daily. What about coconut oil

Salt, hypothyroidism, high BP and fluid retention
I should not use more than 2 tea spoons of low
sodium
salt daily in an attempt to lower BP and reduce the fluid retention. I always get the "too much salt is dangerous" speech...apparently, my GP considers anything above 2 tea sppons daily "too much".

I need some advice please after AKI (due to BP meds) a few months ago
At the moment my eGFR has risen to 73, and I am being regularly tested for:- Serum
Sodium
, Serum Potassium, Serum Urea, Creatinine, and FBC & Ferritin. My question is Are there any other tests that I should be asking for, because I'm pretty sure my GP won't be aware? Thank you

New Here
I was just recently diagnosed, well not even that, I was told my numbers were off and my
sodium
is low, I've been a type 1 diabetic for over 50 years, I'm just reading on the internet and being frightened and depressed. I've given up dairy and colas and coffee, no small sacrifices!

Low Sodium after Rituximab Infusion
Because of my symptoms I had an ECG and a CT scan on my brain and all was ok but my bloods came back and my
sodium
was low @ 124 (normal range 135-145) overnight it recovered mostly and the Med Team said it was because of some blood pressure tablets I was taking along with the Rituximab and possibly
