The state of urinary iodine is not related to either TSH or Free T4
This paper shows that TSH and FT4 in blood does not reflect urinary iodine levels. This indicates the thyroid is flexible to iodine supply and is robust to limited iodine in diet.

Remedies for Parkinson's constipation
This subject comes up a lot, so I figured it would be useful to post our collective wisdom in one place as a reference. As usual – what works for one may not work for another. So members of our club are invited to also post your remedies in the comments.

Feeling dreadful
I was diagnosed with Graves early 2017. I got back on an even keel and was in remission for 18 months but out of the blue had a thyroid storm in July 2020. I've been on Carbimazole, Propranolol and Apixaban since then. I haven't actually seen an Endo at all. I was diagnosed when in hospital in July

Blood Test Results from GP, very ill and no diagnosis
Hello, Sorry I know some of these bloods will be irrelevant to the thyroid forum but posting just in case someone who knows better than me spots something. Background- I’ve been ill since 14, originally diagnosed with ME/CFS. Only thing that routinely showed up in tests was extremely low blood pressure

What's next on tap
Well the 12th cycle of carboplatin and cabataxal is on May 20th, this treatment regime has been successful bringing my Psa down from 243 to 6. Although I have been told 12 cycles are on the far end of what should be taken, so far I have been tolerating it pretty well, aside from burning pain with urination

I showed the results to my GP who then had me do another set of blood tests on Wednesday and

Neupogen Injection During Doxetaxil Treatments.
Good morning Warriors: I had my first Docetaxel infusion 3 weeks ago. I had a bad reaction and was put in hospital for 5 days because of a low white blood cell count - 5 - and low sodium count of 119. I believe the reaction was because I could not eat for 3 days due to a severe case of acid reflux

The longer the antithyroid drug is used, the lower the relapse rate in Graves' disease: a retrospective multicenter cohort study in Korea
Many have reported here that they have received an antithyroid medicine for a long period (whether carbimazole or propylthiouracil). However, long-term use of an anti-thyroid medicine is frequently denied. There is often considerable pressure to choose RAI or thyroidectomy. Of course, if the patient
