PDT VS MICRO-PULSE FOR CSR
Hello everybody! I got to see my retina specialist once again. To check on my current CSR bleed. They did the whole bit, they ran color through my eyes and took a ton of pictures I felt like ET with the amount of bright lights in my eyeballs! But it was well worth it, he was able to see that in my

Hi everyone, This is my second post. My first post, my husband had been leaking protein and was told it would go away. A year later, he still has it. Now he's being referred to a Nephrologist for the first time. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what to ask? He's not diabetic and his blood

Feeling so tired and absolutely drained
Good afternoon, l wonder whether anyone would be kind enough please to see if they can help me? I have been feeling very tired and drained for several months and I am not sure if it might also have been aggravated by Covid, which I had in March this year. I have had a series of private blood tests,

Surgery Risks?
Hi everyone. Just joined this site yesterday after a recent UCTD diagnosis. Last year, before my diagnosis, I was referred for gallbladder removal. This week, I received a telephone consultation appointment for May. I will ask any relevant questions during the consultation but was wondering meantime

Very dry eyes and constipation linked to dose decrease?
So me going down from 112mcgs to 100mcgs failed after 3 weeks. No blood test to confirm it yet but I'm supposed to get more blood work done at the end of the month. But are dry eyes a hypo symptom? Also started having bad constipation and bloat. Magnesium Citrate 600mgs a day doesn't seem to be working

I can see!.. Sort a...
This morning I had the cataract removed from my left eye. What an experience! I don't have much depth perception but I can already see better out of it & it's only been 8 hours. I was a little nervous about being awake during the procedure but with the tad bit of anesthesia I didn't care. I could see

I HAVE HUNG UP MY RUNNING SHOES
It is approaching nine years since I discovered C25k and subsequently this forum and the combination of the two changed my life in more positive ways than I could ever imagine. From a 57 year old who thought that running might be a lesser necessary evil than heading off to the gym to maintain stamina

Encouraging results from the CureParkinsons supported Phase II clinical trial of the GLP-1R agonist Liraglutide
There were 37 randomly assigned to Liraglutide & 18 on placebo (2:1); At 54 weeks, non-motor symptoms scale scores had improved by 6.6 points in the liraglutide group & worsened by 6.5 points in the placebo group; MDS-UPDRS III (change from baseline) = not significantly different Secondary outcome analysis

Good morning, I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience? I told my neph that I was limiting protein, sodium and foods bad for the kidneys. She said that limiting protein etc is old school and instructed me not to add salt to any food. I am at a stage 3b. I have been reading posts on this

Nervous about having blood work done
Hello, does anyone else feel like they are in panic mode knowing it is time to have blood work done. I am so afraid to see my numbers. I have been drinking my water and eating a mostly vegan diet (I eat no meat, no poultry, no processed foods, and watch my sodium very carefully). I will eat a piece

Headache after coming off prednisolone
I’m new here, apart from browsing and learning a lot, thank you. I am female age 67, in UK. I am asking humbly for your thoughts, realising that I am much better off than so many on this site to whom I can only offer my sympathy. Can anyone help me judge whether my current frequent headache may be

And another ER visit and hospital stay
Jeff went back in for chemo and his blood pressure had plummeted and he was running 102 + fever. They nixed chemo and sent him immediately to the ER. He was discharged yesterday, although we didn’t really get a lot of answers. His sodium is too low and he was advised to eat more salt. They almost didn

the new doctor has very different opinions about my eyes
I was dealt a blow today. I wonder my experience is unique. Unknown to me, my eye doctor had left the practice and a new doctor was assigned for me. - he didn't let me know or made sure someone take over, so I had to phone the clinic about my regular check up - anyway, at my first meeting with the
