I'm on a low sodium diet but I must get protein etc to maintain my weight. I've lost 7 stone over the years. I see there seafood is recommended as a source of protein and as I love shell fish I thought I'd try moules marinere at a local cafe here in Plymouth. Oh boy did I suffer last night, appalling

Salt and morning headaches
I've held off posting about this for a few days, although I've mentioned it where it seems relevant in replies. For a long time I've often woken up with a headache in the morning, which usually goes away after I've been up for a while and had breakfast. I don't know when this first started but it was

Help with interpreting various blood results
Hi, I recently had a blood test for various things. (I have Psoriatic Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Sjörgren's Syndrome, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and some of the tests are because of the meds I take). I was hoping someone could interpret my results, i.e. if there's anything I should be concerned about. I'm

Ok I’ll try this again lol Here’s the results I received today. I’d like peoples opinion on them if you wouldn’t mind. Thanks again for everyone’s support up to now. There was a photo here before but the numbers were hard to see so I’ve resorted to typing it out. LFT -normal-no action Serum

Can we eat tomatoes with CKD?
Hi everyone, we are told not to eat tomatoes on a CKD diet and I havent for the past 6 years. I have just read a post from Mathea Ford, we’ll known renal dietician, to the contrary. She says fresh are the best source of tomatoes as they do not have any additives that can increase the sodium, potassium

Discussion about Xofigo with my oncologist today
I met with my oncologist today and we discussed the use of Xofigo. He asked me if I would consider starting it and I told him I was concerned because I heard recently of quite a few people who have had their blood numbers "crash" after using it. I always thought that it was something you did when everything

Ckd 3 diagnosis
I have recently been diagnosed with stage 3 ckd. I’m devastated to say the least. I am 52 years old. I have hypertension and have had to use NSAIDS for years for pain. I can no longer use them. Perhaps not utilising B12 - how to know? what to do?
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I don't *think* I have PA but it's one of several possibilities that I'm looking into. My profile has more info and you're welcome to stalk me on the Thyroid UK forum if you like. ;) but I'll give a brief background after my question here. Is it possible to have high B12 levels
