Colonoscopy while on Parkinson's Meds
My Primary Care Doc says I need a colonoscopy in a few weeks, but I have Parkinson's and I'm on a cocktail of drugs: Sinemet 25/100, Baclofen, Amantadine, Clonazepam, ad Sinemet 50/200 Extended Release ER (ER taken at night). I am hearing 2 different stories as to whether or not I can stay on my meds

How are people dealing with symptoms in the evening/getting to sleep?
I'm recently diagnosed, looking to avoid using sleep meds but my left hand, lower left leg and my left foot get really electrified and it makes it really hard to get to sleep. I take my last dose of Sinemet around 8pm but it typically doesn't touch these evening symptoms. I was prescribed Remeron,

Shortness of breath
Shortness of breath I appreciated the replies and the consensus is about breathing deeply, Especially exhaling. Louise Hayes says Parkinson’s is about not letting go so to learn to fully exhale is good medicine. As well as meditating. I am lucky in that I don’t experience on and off periods, taking

why are my pupils dilated in the evening and why do I get olfactory hallucinations?
I was started on 1 tab of sinemet 3x's per day, needed more it seemed, my doc increased to 2 tabs 3x's per day of the 25/100. still had alot of off time. heard about taking 1 tab 6x's per day and that helped with coverage but caused the dilation and hallucinations or at least i think it did because

10 months since starting on a Keto Diet and still on Zero Medication - progress report :-)
Update17.04.2019 So, currently I’m somewhere between Keto Diet LCHF and Full Carnivore with Intermittent Fasting. Delighted to say that my diarrhoea gradually cleared up and was possibly caused by a bug rather than carnivory. I’ve cut back on my coffee intake, take a (very) cold shower when I get up

L Dopa, the drug which makes Parkinson's worse?
What do you think? From my negative experience of Sinemet, I surmise that it brings some initial improvement in movement issues along with some devastating side effects. It wears off, so more is taken, and after a while dyskinesias can occur solely because of the drug. Also 'on - off' can occur due to

Focused Ultrasound in Switzerland
I have decided to see if I can have focused ultrasound at Sonimodul clinic in Switzerland. The neurologist there has the most experienced and 2 friends have had excellent results. I’ve collated lots of information for anyone who’s interested. https://sonimodul.ch https://www.frontiersin.org/articles

Just joined this group.....feedback welcome.
I was diagnosed 3 months ago. I'm a 51 y.o. male. My symptoms started a few years ago with the tip of my left finger feeling "pressured." That's the best way I can describe. That was followed by carpal tunnel doctor, then I got a frozen shoulder, then a neuroma in my left foot, then odd sensations in

Rytary vs Sinemet
Has anyone compared these name brands as opposed to comparing generics? I’m going to switch from Rytary to Sinemet. For me , Rytary is bad news. Afraid it would cost me my marriage. Good C/L 50/200 is N/A in the PNW. Gotta go name brand in my opinion.

Hello, I am new
My Mum is 82 and for 3 or 4 years has been showing signs of dementia and apathy. She began to have backwards falls. In addition her right hand (and since her whole arm) has become spastic and terribly painful. She can't move it at all now and it remains tightly clenched under her bosom. Her left hand

I have been impressed with the positive postings of taking vitamin B1. I want to venture on taking Thiamine hcl high dosage in POWDER form but don't know where I can find instructions on how to take it except from this forum. Has anyone out there has any positive experience and suggestions? I'm 83

Sinemet not available in Italy
Sinemet has not been found in Italy since 15/20 days. Those who use 100+25 must have their family doctor fill out a form to request the drug "Levocomp" abroad, to be precise in Germany. For other dosages it is not possible to purchase abroad for which a therapeutic alternative is necessary. Already in

Looking for relief on shuffling and freezing during off periods. These symptoms are driving me nuts....
Hey guys. I would like to have any recommendations may work to you all having similar disgusting episodes. It hurts my self esteem and erodes my strength. I have been with PD over 12 years now and I am able to deal with most symptoms like tremors, dystonia, stiffness, rigidity, muscle pain, hallucination
