My husband who has had PD for 6years, is on Sinemet 25/100, 2 pills, 3 times a day. Has anyone taken 50/200 , one pill verses the two 25/100 and is there a difference/benefit re symptoms?
Sinemet Dosage: My husband who has had PD... - Cure Parkinson's
Sinemet Dosage
My hubby has had PD for 6 yrs or more. I remember because he had it on our 50th anni. Jan. 2013 and has no smile in the photo. Right now he's just taking 2 Sinemets at night, 25-100 ...and sometimes a Resigiline 100 mg. which helps with leg freezing but be careful of that because he fell for no reasons a couple of times last year and I think that med. causes blood pressure problems. I have Fibromyalgia and take Cymbalta which affects blood sugar so I have to take Metformin for diabetes. I'm pleased that hubby doesn' t go overboard with meds. It seems like at first he was given too much. We're in mid 70's and I can see somewhat of a progression tho. He gets very sleepy in eve before he takes his med. He doesn't see his Nuerologist much, nor a reg. Dr. He just won't and I want to find out what's causing his puffy feet. We go to a support group once a month which helps with Info about PD and I picked up a couple of books, on loan, but wish I hadn't. It can be quite scary. I'm not a positive person in the first place. I hope you have someone to talk to. M.A.in U.S.A.
I take 50/200 3 times a day
Seems to work
Did you ever take 25/100’s?
Yes.
Any difference? Benefits?
The smaller dose was not enough, so I gradually changed over.
There were not any extra effects that i can remember.
(I don't keep a diary)
I hadn't heard of 50/200 - how big is the pill? My husband with PD has swallowing issues.
No bigger than the 25/100’s, so just wondering about the potency difference in the two. Benefits of taking one verses the two.
