Alternatives to PPIs
I do go through periods where I am fine (though of course I might be getting
silent
reflux
). Ideas appreciated, thank you.

silent reflux & asthma
I was started on omepraze and gaviscon treatment for the above 2 weeks ago after an exacerbation of asthma. I think it has helped but not entirely sure as early days. I’ve only been given a months supply. Does anyone know if this is something you’d expect to be on indefinitely if it does work? I also

I do however suffer from a hoarse voice which I was told by others who have the same that it may be “
silent
reflux
” which is where the stomach acid is pushed up into the throat.

Being gas-lit: NOT Hypothyroidism, it’s Silent Reflux says Consultant Thyroid/ENT – Advice requested.
I had a camera inserted through my nose – no cancer but “some inflammation”, which is when I was told it was
Silent
Reflux
, despite never having any sort of reflux in my life. My brain coming back online somewhat in his warm office, I queried regarding hypo people having low stomach acid.

Silent
reflux
- Inflammation causing my hands wrists do seize up overnight - bursitis in my shoulders - severe tendonitis in my hands and wrists - waking up at 3am every night - cortisol and not getting back to sleep I saw, ENT, Rheumatologist and

“Treat your autoimmune and you will treat your

HASHIMOTIOS and SULENT REFLUX
He prescribed omeprazole for
silent
reflux
, I thought this was rubbish. I think my symptoms have eased a bit but not sure. Will omeprazole stop me absorbing thyroxine???? Anyone know??? Any advice appreciated.

Postnasal Drip
I still have this horrendous post nasal drip that finally I have discovered by going private to an ENT chap is
silent
reflux
. I am having an Ensoscopy on Friday to determine it is my Hyitas Hernia playing up. In the meantime my post nasal drip has gone into overload since my covid jab?

I have
silent
reflux
and just 2 silly questions! I have sent for the cook book not here yet! I am vegetarian. Happy to eat a plate of veg but cannot stand it without gravy? Any suggestions? Vege stock? And I have read Digestive Biscuits ok but no other buscuits allowed?

silent reflux/possible intolerance
He has terrible
silent
reflux
- it’s got to the point where I no longer sleep at night as he can’t lie on his back due to the acid coming up in his throat. He is on carbael which isn’t doing much. his doctor is convinced he doesn’t have a dairy intolerance because he doesn’t have a rash.

Negative metacolin challenge test but bad asthma worsened by allergies
I’ve also seen an ent and gastroligist and been tested negative for
silent
reflux
. I have an elevated aspergillius IgG count but the doctors seem to be ignoring that right now. I know this is long but has anyone got any advice on what to do next?

Anyone had this?
It wasn’t until my mid 30’s I realised that this was probably
silent
reflux
and the symptoms got a little more frequent. My GP prescribed Omeprazole and then I moved on to Ritadine until that was withdrawn and I have been taking Esomeprazole for several years after that.

Acupuncture for undiagnosed/silent reflux?
A gastro endoscopy was negative but I was told it could be
silent
reflux
and to try PPIs again. I thought my head felt clearer but was still getting sensation in chest and developed belching and regurgitation I had not had before. So I came off PPI 12 weeks ago.

post nasal drip part 3
He thinks it is all about the
silent
reflux
. I do have a Hyitas Hernia and have been taking Omeprozole for years. So Omeprozole increased and advised me to buy Gaviston Advanced to take before bedtime but couldn’t quite understand if I need to take after meals?

How to treat bad LPR (silent acid reflux) when hypothyroidism?
I now have
Silent
Acid
Reflux
(LPR) ie. Acid reflux with the main symptom being a very bad sore throat, particularly at night. I have had it for months and it's not getting any better. It stops me from sleeping and I'm exhausted.

hypo and reflux
I’ve recently started to take lanzoprazole for
silent
reflux
as when I’m hungry or missed a meal I feel like I can’t breathe. I’m now worried I won’t have any acid at all! I’ve noticed that since taking it I’m suffering with sore throat and joint pain fatigue all over.

Anti-reflux surgery
I would be interested to know of peoples experience with anti-reflux surgery, such as partial or full fundoplication, LINX or stretta. Was it worth it? What is life like after the surgery? Any disadvantages? With thanks for your replies.
