Would like to be boring but just starting out!
Has anyone in the Uk had the
Shingrix
vaccination? I understand it’s not available on the NHS. The only clinic I can find is HH Pharmacy, Hampstead Heath, London? Not getting much joy from the hospital I’m under. Took over a month to inform my dr and that’s only because I made a nuisance of myself.

Shingles vaccine update
2 months ago I had the first of the two
Shingrix
vaccines and had a pretty awful reaction. Horrible arm soreness, blisters in my throat, throat swelling, fatigue so bad I really did not want to move. GP told me to go ahead and get the second shot. Hemeo doc said get the second shot.

Vaccines FYI
All About the MMR Vaccine
Shingrix
Vaccine The new vaccine (
Shingrix
), which is not a live virus vaccine, is more effective and probably safe in MS patients, although data on patients with immunocompromised systems isn't available yet.

Here I Humbly come - Shingrix
Two weeks ago I got the
Shingrix
vaccine for shingles. One week ago, I woke up with cog fog. Oh, that dreaded familiar feeling.....😠. Fatigue has started to rear it's head and now I'm having trouble breathing well. Off for an MRI next week and a fluoroscopy sniff test. Anyone ever had one?

Shingrix Vaccine - Experience of Others...?
I am considering having the
Shingrix
vaccine (first in series of two), and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on what to do to help with the apparently unpleasant side effects. I can't take NSAIDs due to Dr. orders.

Shingles vaccine update
I'm not sure if the NHS currently allows
shingrix
(non-live virus) in the UK, but my CCG doesn't support it. I cross the magic 70 threshold next year so we will see what happens then, when I will need to have the jab myself. Once again, thanks for your replies and support John

New Shingrix Vaccine
I am seriously considering the new
Shingrix
vaccine for shingles that is not a live virus. Has anyone else received the new vaccine? How did you make out?

Ocrevus 1st infusion scheduled!
B/C I missed the opportunity for the
Shingrix
(shingles vaccine) and b/c O can increase risk of shingles/herpes, and after discussion with the infusion Oncologist, I am going to take Valtrex as a preventive for potential shingles reactivation.

Ugh 🙁Shingles
Ironically, it was the day I intended to get my flu and
Shingrix
shots in preparation to start Ocrevus. Since there has to be a 6 week window b/w immunizations and infusions, and no immunizations with active shingles, it looks like I will forgo the shots this yr.

Beware of Shingles (Shingrix) vaccine!
I had an appointment with my Rheumatologist a couple of weeks ago and she advised me to have a Shingles vaccine. She said the new one is ok for people with Lupus. My brother in law had recently had Shingles and it was terrible for him so I thought, ok, I'll do it. Now, 2 weeks later, I am pretty sure

Shingrix
I took the lead and had the first shot of
Shingrix
.
Shingrix
is the new shingles virus vaccine that is safe for people with immune compromised systems and is 99% effective. I will need to have a second booster shot 2-6 months from now.

Clean bill of health
She was also a bit cross that I hadn't got the
Shingrix
vaccine. She gave a prescription to hubby, and one for me, when he visited her last week, but he didn't think to tell her I'd never had chicken pox.
