Hi girls (and boys). I hope we are all jogging along nicely. I was reading about shingles as mine doesn't seem to want to bugger off yet and I came across an article written in the US about a new vaccine which is much improved on the old one. It is now approved for use in Europe. It is no good for those of us who already have shingles but I'm sure all of the rest of you can hassle your doctors for the vaccine to prevent it. Chemo definitely makes it more likely you'll get it, especially when your immune system is jeopardised. Here's a link:
I just wish I'd known beforehand as I've enough fatigue to cope with without the added joy of shingles. It is called SHINGRIX and Maus wrote about it recently so this is a repeat in case some of you missed it.
Have a wonderful day everyone - if you can.

Hi my lovely. I'm coming out of the hell pit slowly. Had my chemo today but feel a bit wobbly since. It's hot today and I'm tired. Can't seem to nap though so may as well get up and do something. Hope you are as well as can be. November is but a spit away. xxxxxx
Thanks for the link... sorry you’re still dragging on with it. It takes forever. I asked my GP about this last week. The “protocol” in the UK is over 70s, but I think we immuno-compromised would be allowed it younger, but she wanted me to check first with my oncologist...
