underactive thyroid
hi there I’ve had an under active thyroid for 8 years and recently gained weight and losing iron. My doctor has said my neck thyroid reading is ok but my “brain reading is slower” Does this make sense to anyone? Also, how do people take iron and vitamin d as I have read not to take it near medication

Verapamil and effects on thyroid
I have been wondering if my long term use of heart drug Verapamil has had any affect on my thyroid. I have been on Thyroxine for 22 years and Verapamil for about 18 years. I stumble across the following article and wondered if anyone can make head or tail of it. It says at the end it was safe for the

Blue Horizon Thyroid Gold test price drop and Active B12 inclusion
Hello, I know someone who knows someone etc. at Blue Horizon. And it has been annoying me that they haven't included Active B12 in their Thyroid Gold Premium test as really that only leaves me with Medichecks Advanced Thyroid which is in theory fine, but I like to have a choice. So I told the person

An Enlightening Endocrine Adventure
After appeasing an endocrinologist worried about my suppressed TSH by a cunning lab trick -- withholding NDT for three days before going for the blood work -- I realized I needed to titrate up the dose. Many thanks to those who replied with their NDT experience. I cranked it up to nearly double what

very long story…. Need support.
Since a young age, I have had hyperthyroidism. I was treated with carbimazole for years and in 2021 I had radioactive therapy (a radioactive table) for my thyroid. This ended up killing it and now I am on level thyroxine. When I first got diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I believe my TSH was 60-ISH. Since

My ‘thyroid journey’ has been an interesting one and now approaching its 4th year. I’m fairly convinced I don’t have autoimmune thyroid disease and relatively confident my adrenals play a big part in my symptoms, however it’s not just adrenals as I’ve tested myself on HC solo and it doesn’t work. Aaanyway

I posted a few days ago and sadly had no replies! But anyway I had my GP appointment this morning. Explained everything that's been going on, showed her my test results, and her answer to that was i will probably develop an OVERactive thyroid eventually 🤦🏻♀️ How she came to that conclusion I do
